Bad experience. I have been to a few other locations and its been good. I came here on lunch not too long ago and ordered sliders of vegetarian burgers. They were clearly burned and black on top, tasted awful. My server was sweet and asked why I didn't eat them and I told her they were burned. She told me "They are made with black beans, that is just how they look". Considering I have had these before I just kinda laughed and asked for the check. She boxed them up for me even though I didn't ask. I just threw them away when I got home.

Great Late Food!!. Went here with a couple friends around 11. Menu was slightly expensive but the food made up for it. I was expecting the food to be a little cold, but it wasn't at all. I got the stuffed chicken breast and garlic mashed potatoes and it was fantastic. I was suprised at how fresh the food was (just like i ordered around meal time). Service was great but not smotheriing. I would recommend highly if you want a great meal later on in the evening, especially after movies.

Kansas-based restaurant started in 1972 entices 30-somethings and families with a flashy menu, inventive drinks and chic, but accessible, decor.. In Short
Considered a founding father of American casual dining, Houlihan's transformed its once-kitschy decor and meat-and-potatoes menu into a contemporary restaurant serving eclectic cuisine. Geared toward a slightly more upscale crowd, warmer colors and modern art adorn the walls, while Indie rock tunes and a patio leading to a walk-around bar remind you that you're not in Kansas anymore. The globetrotting menu juxtaposes classic burgers and wings with innovative selections like tuna wontons and herb-cheese stuffed mushrooms.

Solidly Average. I go here for lunch with my co-workers once in awhile and while it's a good place for that, I wouldn't go on my own time with friends/husband. The menu is extensive so maybe that is why nothing is that great. Everything I've had is good, but nothing special.

Fun atmosphere, great happy hour. The last reviewer is right about the long waits (this is true for Friday nights as well as weekends) and the crowded bar. However, if you embrace this atmosphere, you'll end up making conversation with others as you wait for the bartender. I like a full restaurant, with all of its energy and joviality, as long as I'm not exhausted or starving. This is a pretty fun place, the appetizers look good and taste better, and the happy hour is a good deal - 2 for 1's. I find the staff to be nice overall.

Hit or Miss. I've been going to this place since it opened. I was a regular during the late afternoons for almost two years. I loved it. Then suddenly with some manager changes and arbritrary firings of staff the place became a tomb. Give yourself plenty of waiting time if you want a table after 5pm on the weekends. If you decide to wait at the bar I hope you have long arms to reach your drinks through the three deep person crowd. If your server/bartender is in a good mood it's well worth visiting. *they don't take reservations*

Food is reliably good. We eat will the parents all the time.

I hate ribs; but everyone else seems to like them.

The steaks are pretty good; especially for the price.

(especially better than Timberlodge; do they train

their cooks?)

I like the place, the usually good.

Yuk.. Staff has the personality of a vending machine. I had the ribs - bad choice. Slab of tasteless meat with a handfull of frenchfries - where's the coleslaw? With so many other dining choices, no need to go there again!

best eats in eagan. My husband and I spent the weekend in Eagan just to get away for the weekend (from the kids!) AND WHAT A SURPRISE. We usually stay in downtown Minneapolis, but we wanted to get away from everything for a change. We usually despise "chain" restaurants, but the atmosphere, service, and food at Houlihan's in Eagan was incredible for the price, especially since we ate in the bar AWAY FROM KIDS/FAMILIES. I had the filet mignon, which was cooked perfectly, and my husband had the jambalaya...."laissez les bons temps roulez!" We will be back....GET THE LONG ISLAND ICED TEA...IT COMES IN A PITCHER AND IS AWESOME.
