Do they have good food??. Celebrating my uncle's birthday, 12 of us thought we'd get some good food...boy were we in for an experience! This was the first time I have ever walked out of a restaurant like I did. I have NEVER had such a horrible experience before, not to mention, this was my first visit to this restaurant that supposedly has good food. Yes, the place was busy, however, we waited for at least 45 minutes before getting our appetizers (garlic cheese bread & pizza fries). We watched a couple next to us get seated, served, and leave . The table across from us, we saw them get seated, and served as well. The waitress never came back to ask us for refills, never came to tell us why they were behind, in fact, she didn't come to "our corner" at all. We did get up to ask where our food was and were told, "we're busy". After waiting a little longer, we got up and left. The waitress then blurted out in the middle of the restaurant, "So you're just going to walk out on me!?" Of course! After waiting close to two hours what do you expect!? We did pay for our apps and drinks...even the dinner salads that "came with" the meals we never got. WHAT A JOKE! So, that's my Italian Pie Shoppe experience. My first time there....and DEFINITELY the LAST!

OK pizza, terrible service. I ate with my family at the Italian Pie Shoppe in Eagan just last night for the first time. The service was terrible! It all began when we first arrived and had to wait in a short line for a very long time. There were 3 groups in front of us, and the servers kept walking by saying "be with you in a minute" but never actually doing anything! When we finally did get seated, the server came quickly to take our order, but never ever offered us any refills on our drinks. She brought us our pizza (I didn't think the wait for the pizza was too long, about 20 minutes) and then we never saw her again. We waited again to receive our check and then had to wait for about 10 minutes in line to pay for the food! The servers kept walking by and saw the line to pay, and again kept saying "be with you in a minute" but not doing anything. Finally, after waiting in line to pay for about 10 minutes, a server came to take our payment and we could leave! Their pizza was good, but definitely not worth the hassle and long wait times.

Another Great Meal. I had never eaten at the Eagan location before, but ate there recently with my family who had never eaten there. Boy - they were shocked. This place is great. Meals are reasonably priced - $40 for dinner for 4 - no alcohol. We had the big dipper, a hot hoagie, baked mostaccoli, and calzones. The choices are expansive (I can never decide what to have) and everything met our expectations. Highly recommended!

Twin Cities chain serving pizza of the gooey, chewy variety.. In Short
The wooden booths, courteous staff, old movie stills on the walls, and piping-hot, perfectly spiced pies provide a welcoming environment for couples, families and neighborhood regulars. Although the name is a bit misleading, these cozy pizza joints have been right on the money with their generously laden deep-dish creations for more than a decade. The wine list features less than a dozen unremarkable whites and reds.

Great pizza, BUT.... Great pizza, BUT the service...

They don't deliver, which is ok, but calling to order is like trying to get security clearance at the Pentagon and when you come to pick up the pizza you could die of hunger waiting to be served. This has been my experience EVERY TIME. The food is outstanding, but unless you want to eat there, order from somewhere else. For pickups, they could not be worse if they worked on it.

Great pizza, lively atmosphere. Every visit to the Italian Pie Shoppe has been a good experience. Their pizza is truly outstanding, piled high with toppings and LOTS of cheese. It reminds me of what pizza is supposed to taste like, helping me forget the mediocrity of the chain-delivery places. The atmosphere is charming - the wooden booths, low lighting, and movie-still shots adorning the walls make one quickly forget they're situated in a strip mall. Also check out the Italian Pie Shoppe on Grand Avenue that boasts a live jazz organist on select evenings.

Ugggh. Expensive deep dish pizza that was absolutly awful. Nice try on the margherita. You might want to look int fresh basil seeing as how it is part of the ingrediants. Just a thought.
