Frequent!. The previous poster Tbaker381 hates free-market capitalism. And god forbid the owner of Jensen's actually excercise his right to free speech!

Now on to an actual review...

The food here is AMAZING!!! Think old-school supper club... Relish tray, warm popovers, ordering your cut of meat or surf and turf and a side to share.

This place has incredible food, is high on both the romance AND class scale and has martinis that are perfect.

If you want a meal... and I mean a REAL MEAL in Minneapolis, you have GOT to try Jensen's.

AVOID. The owner hates public employees! In regards to a recent star tribune article he doesn't care about the sacrifices public employees make and wants them to make sacrifices when the food service industry is slumping. Does Mr. Jensen pay extra Taxes to support public employees when his business is booming? I doubt it. Just avoid this place like myself and support our public servants who selflessly put their lives on the line to protect you and your families.

Outstanding!. Great atmosphere, great service, great food! I am so impressed! From the delicious appetizer to the finale "the New York Strip" everything was delicious! I love great food and I have finally found it....GREAT FOOD!!

Ill am your newest fan! I will celebrate every anniversary at Jensens! Great work!

Never Fail on New Years. We have become regulars at Jensens since we moved to Eagan. We have also made it a New Years ritual to go to the Wild game and end up at Jensens for a great New Years meal. The staff is at their best and the food is outstanding, along with a vodka martini and what a better way to bring in the New Year. I highly recommend Jensens for New Years and any other special occassion.

Great place to eat. We went to Jensen's for the first time last night. From the minute we sat at the bar I knew it would be a great evening. The bartender was wonderful! Drink suggestions were on the mark and wonderful. When our friends arrived, we were shown to our table and given the specials for the evening. We were with friends we hadn't seen in almost a year, so we were busy talking, not focusing on the menu. We were NEVER rushed which is so unusual. Everyone ordered something different. I had the chicken oscar.....fabulous! My husband had a steak which was wonderful too. One friend had the shrimp special which was great and the other had the Larry's pork chop....fabulous again. We had a wonderful meal, great service and a great time. We will go back again and again

Right out of an Old Movie. Went there for a date and it was great! The food was delicious! Talk about an awesome steak! Great Martinis and Wine selection too! Jensen's was very clean and well-kept, and had an old Hollywood like charm to it. I almost felt like I was living out a scene in L.A. Confidential or something. We had no problems with the waitstaff and no problems making an online reservation.

I will definitely be going back here again to dine! :)

Check your receipt. Be sure to check your receipt! We were charged double for our tip! If we didn't happen to look at our bank statement, the waitress would have gotten away with stealing from us! When we called to get it straightened out, we didn't receive an apology. My husband and I went their for our anniversary and had terrible service to . We had to ask to get our drinks filled multiple times. The food itself was pretty good, but I would never go back there.

The best dinner I've had in years.. This was THE most amazing dinner that we have had in years. The food is spectacular. The beer and wine selection is extravegant and the staff impeccable. The gal who took care of us during dinner "Laura" knew that we were out on a date and slowed the whole meal down. It was a flawless 3 hour dinner that just amazing. I would never hesitate to go back or to try anything on their menu, I'm sure it's perfect!

Best service anywhere, cocktails are to die for, steaks are excellent. We have been to Jensen's many times. A friend turned us on to Jensen's years ago and we love him for it! Last time we visited was for my parents' 30th anniversary. They had a big party for their 25th and wanted something simple with just our immediate family. I immediately thought of Jensen's and booked a reservation. We are always treated like valued guests, royalty even when we come in the door. I don't mean to sound cheesy, but the service is just top notch. They TRULY understand who pays their bills, the customers. The drinks at Jensen's are superbly made and very generous. They can creep up on you so be careful! My mother ordered steak and lobster and was very pleased. The rest of our food, including a selection of family sides were all wonderful. Their salad with mandarin oranges is fabulous. I just read a review that mentioned poor service and was very surprised. In all the times we have been to Jensen's, we have always had attentive, efficient service. People arrive at the tables to remove plates and fill water glasses at just the right time. The servers are all very class acts and deserve every bit of the tip we leave. If you want a simple dinner on a Tuesday night or an special Saturday night out with your friends and family, Jensen's will not let you down.
