Oakdale's premier bar, created solely to entertain its suburban clientele..
The Scene
In the 1980s, Oakdale was a little rural backwater between Maplewood and Woodbury, near St. Paul's eastern border. But then sprawl struck. Such a burgeoning suburb can't survive without a little night life. Hence, the All American was born. It was intended as a place to tip a beer and watch a game on one of many big screens, but that wasn't enough, considering that it was expected to be Oakdale's bar. The people demanded more, and All American delivered. The bar now features karaoke on Monday and Tuesday nights and a DJ spinning dance music the rest of the week.
