Stay away!!!. I wish I could give them NO stars! My wife went into The spa looking for a relaxing day getting a mani/pedi. She had a fun time when she was their, however the work on her nails was quiet poor. Her nails were chipping and bubbling within an hour of leaving. She called the manager the next night and mentioned her issues and the manager apologized and asked her to come back in the next weekend to fix the problem. When my wife arrived for the next visit, they didnt have a record of her appointment and the woman whom she was schedule with WASNT EVEN SCHEDULED. After waiting for an hour, they got her in, fixed her nails...and charged her ANOTHER $40.

This was supposed to be a special day for my wife and instead it turned into a financial drain on our pocket book. Best part is, the manager wont even return her call now.…

Simonsons Salon and Spa - Anoka MN. I first arrived to my appointment excited to receive a massage and mani/pedi. I was greeted quickly and then corralled to the back of the salon where I was sat down to wait for 20 minute without an offer of water, magazine or anything to drink. I had my massage (which was also very rushed) and then I was then taken to the main/pedi area where things were more "relaxed" so to speak - go figure. The stylist who did my nails was FANTASTIC! However, at check out an issue came up on a "first time visitor" coupon that was brought by one of the guests in my party, and 3 of us mentioned we forgot our coupons, the checkout ladies quickly ran our cards so there was no turning back. There was no explanation on our bill, they even forgot our free gift which we had to ask for.

This place seemed more about the "charts" and them following you around the salon that tallied up your services for each station visited, rather than a serene place to visit to be pampered or at least offered a drink of water while waiting.

I will not visit her again due to the lack of professionalism in the "spa industry" and my expectations of salons to accommodate you from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. I paid too much to receive this type of service. I wish that I could have used my entire payment to receive a long massage and to deal directly with him rather than speaking to anyone at the front desk.

Best Color and Haircut EVER!!!. I've spent my entire adult life searching for a stylist that listens and gets my cut exactly how I had envisioned and I finally found it with Nicole at Simonson's. She is incredibly sweet and actually sat down with me on every visit and consulted before she started clipping. She went through book after book with me looking for exactly what I meant when I said "chunky" highlights! The cut has been so fun for me. I can't even tell you how many times I have been stopped on the street and asked who cuts my hair. I even had one lady take a picture of it with her cellphone and e-mail it to her own stylist in a different state. I can't speak for the rest of the staff, but Nicole is AWESOME!!!!…
