crossroads more talk than the walk. i like my food and i like good service, been there before great service a very versed server can remember name Deb i think.. guess only the bad stay longer than should be.

Not even ONE STAR is to many for the way management / food is offered up- I give it 10 stars (negative) ick on all accounts.

Great food, not so great service. I come to Crossroads 2-3 times a month for dinner because we live close by and we LOVE the food. We always share the Reuben and a Strawberry salad, but the last few times we've been in the service has been terrible (to be fair, I think it is a new server that we are not used to having). She is rude and always seems a little...out of it. It has prevented us from returning quite as often. Which is a shame because we really love everything else about the place.

hostile attitudes and poor service. My husband and I love diners and the food was decent but the staff were unbelievably rude. Our server was not very attentive and when she did come to our table she had an attitude. Her tone of voice was sharp and she didn't smile. My husband was saying something to her about being overcharged on an item and she actually said "what's that @%$hole" under her breath as if she were coughing. I couldn't believe my ears but the comment matched her attitude. And we were overcharged, she admitted the mistake. The hostess had the same attitude problem. Hate to think what they do to your food!!

We enjoy dining out and are very polite to servers (having both been servers ourselves at one point) and we are generous tippers. We'll tip 20% for just okay service and even more if the service is truly exceptional. So we were really shocked and disappointed with the people here. We got the impression that the workers here were really bitter and hated all customers. If we were rude it would have made more sense but we were polite as always and not very demanding.

Fantastic Eating. I have eaten there twice now in the past 2 months and plan to continue going back. I've noticed a lot more younger patrons since the last time I was there, so word must be catching on.

The food that I've tried has been fantastic and our server was really wonderful and energetic.

I had a steak sandwich and it literally was a steak on bread. It was so tender and flavorful and came covered with thin onion rings, almost like french fried onions.

Are you kidding me?. If you love deli food...skip this place. The food is just okay and is WAAAAY overpriced. I ordered an egg salad sandwich expecting a New York Deli style version. For a $9 sandwich I was woefully disappointed at the offering. Not only was I served the smallest sandwich I had ever seen offered in a deli setting, it was easily the smallest sandwich seen by the eyes of man. I'm talking finger sandwich sized - tiny, tiny, tiny. At most, one egg was used for the filling. One egg, a spoon of mayo on thinly sliced bread...nine dollars?!!! Well, the sandwich also came with a side of fries...some battered up, soggy mass of potato slices congealed together. If you're going to skimp that much on the sandwich and charge close to ten bucks, at least serve up a fresh side - not some overbattered and greasy fistfull of fries offered as a poor man's version of Hardee's. My friend ordered the matzah ball soup, which was adequate but also way overpriced. I don't know the demographic this restaurant is hoping to serve, but I'm thinking wealthy people without taste buds or an appetite might be the target. For those looking for a satsifying deli experience, there are much better options. Cecil's in Saint Paul remains a much better option - and worth the drive, over this one. Heck, McDonalds is a better option over this one...

Best Borscht in the World. I had my first Crossroads Deli experience a couple of Saturdays ago, after hearing it recommended on the radio show that I listen to. Oh, what a gastronomic delight! As the title says, i had a cup of borscht that was to die for--I ended up getting a large container to go. The reuben was fantastic, and the fries were definitely a cut above the ordinary. The service/waitress was fantastic and the guy who got my soup-to-go was so nice that he must be an owner! Everything was great, if a little expensive. I can't wait to go back!

Worth it...cross my heart. After over a dozen visits, I've never had a bad meal. I've also found something new to order almost every time -- from the great matzo ball soup to the massive meal-worthy salads to simple sandwiches. The Sunday brunch is a must-have, with veggie-filled scrambled eggs, amazingly fresh fruit, and all kinds of sweets. It's not mind-blowing, but Crossroads has everything you want in a restaurant experience. The proprietor even greets you and treats you like you're a guest in his house. I'll keep coming back.
