The Scene – Buck Hill doesn't offer much for advanced skiers, but novices will appreciate the gentle slopes. For non-skiers, the snow-tubing park is a good diversion. Snowboarders get their own half-pipe. The hill is serviced by a rope tow, three double chairlifts, one quad chairlift, a triple chairlift and a J-bar lift. Buck also has one of the best snowmaking systems in the Midwest, enabling the ski area to operate even when Old Man Winter doesn't cooperate. State of the art snowmaking equipment, a boarder park, half pipe, and tubing hill with huge bon fires create fun for all.
Ski racing here is second to none, whether youre a child on Bucks development team, a high school racer, or on the adult ski challenge Theres racing every day of the week. Walk threw the Main chalet and check out the photos of those who have been there, this is a whos who of skiings elite.
With the addition of the Buckstone Lodge overlooking the beginner area they have created a great place for apres ski enjoyment, a date, and non-skiers to hang out and enjoy the views. This is one of a few places you dont have to sit at a picnic table and eat cafeteria-style food. They have an excellent environment and wait staff to actually serve you great food and beverages.

For quick nutrition, there's the Chalet Cafeteria. The Sports Bucket restaurant on the chalet's top floor has a full menu and a bar. You can also rent all equipment here.
