Memories. Mke and I came here to go tubing last winter, it was crazy fun and we plan on going again this winter. I liek that they have the cord thing you so everytime you go down you don't have to walk back up. It is a really big hill. It was really funny trying to talk Mike into going skiingdown it.

This Burnsville ski area is a good place for beginning skiers to learn the sport.. The Scene
Buck Hill doesn't offer much for advanced skiers, but novices will appreciate the gentle slopes. For non-skiers, the snow-tubing park is a good diversion. Snowboarders get their own half-pipe. The hill is serviced by a rope tow, three double chairlifts, one quad chairlift, a triple chairlift and a J-bar lift. Buck also has one of the best snowmaking systems in the Midwest, enabling the ski area to operate even when Old Man Winter doesn't cooperate. Mountain biking, BMX racing and mountain boarding are available.

The Slopes
Most of the 12 ski runs are devoted to beginners and intermediates. This includes the newest trails--both Coyote Cutoff and Mouse Pass are for beginners. There's also a battery of lesson plans available.

Vital Stats
Vertical drop: 305 feet

Skiable acres: 30
Beginner terrain: 27 percent
Intermediate terrain: 46 percent
Advanced terrain: 27 percent
Snowboarding: Small and large half pipes, two terrain parks

The little engine that could. State of the art snowmaking equipment, a boarder park, half pipe, and tubing hill with huge bon fires create fun for all.

Ski racing here is second to none, whether youre a child on Bucks development team, a high school racer, or on the adult ski challenge Theres racing every day of the week. Walk threw the Main chalet and check out the photos of those who have been there, this is a whos who of skiings elite.

With the addition of the Buckstone Lodge overlooking the beginner area they have created a great place for apres ski enjoyment, a date, and non-skiers to hang out and enjoy the views. This is one of a few places you dont have to sit at a picnic table and eat cafeteria-style food. They have an excellent environment and wait staff to actually serve you great food and beverages.
