Great place to stop for dinner the pizza is by far the best in town and thier walley sandwich is fantastic we well definatly be back often

Great Food. Over looking the river is great for a nice quite day of having lunch or dinner. People are friendly and the food is great. I eat there monthly or weekly (As money permits) .

Prices are low for the quality and quantity that you get.

a comment for the lat post.... If the Bar was busy like it is most of the time then I could see a mix up with a drink or food order, but really if any business is busy you get a few mistakes. I really could not ever see either of the owners telling someone that they better not "stiff her out of a tip", even if it was her daughter or just another waitress.

That is too bad that you think the Depot is bad place because for as many years as its been open and for as many as I have been eating at the Depot I have never had a bad meal, drink or service. I'll be sure to tip extra just because you didn't!

Worst Service Ever. The waitress was very rude. First off, she brought out the wrong order, then when informed of the mistake she then argued and said that no, in fact we had ordered this food. She did, however bring out the right order but then did not ask us how our food was and it took her an hour to notice that we needed something to drink. When we got the bill she charged us for the first meal that we did not order and threated to call the police, when we asked to speak with the manager she informed us that we could, and that it was her mother. Her mother, the owner of this "fine establishment" was completely unprofessional and said that next time we should "order the right food" and that "any other place would make us pay". Needless to say, it was awkward and to make matters worse, the owner came to us when we got our new bill and said that our server is her daughter and we had better not "stiff her out of a tip". Wow, I will never again visit the sunshine depot. I suggest you do the same.

Best combo of food, drink, small town atmosphere in North metro.. You walk into this small town bar/restaraunt and are greeted by the friendliest staff you could ever wish for. Walls a decorated with sports photos of the great Elk River teams from the past. If you're there to watch the game or race there are plenty of televisions to catch all your favorite events. The staff is always polite and the food is top notch. They have by far the best pizza in town. Variety is key on their menu. If you want a sandwich, they have it all. Burgers, hoagies, cold and hot. Soup that would make grandma ask for the recipie, and you can wash it all down with the best beer variety in town. In the summer, enjoy outdoor dining on the deck with a great view of the Mississippi. Stop in on a weekday afternoon and catch up with the legendary stories told by the regular "old town Elk River boys". If your lucky you'll hear the tales of "OZ". Yep, this place has it all. If you find yourself in Elk RIver, make the Depot one of your stops. If you live in Elk River, you already know.

PIIIIIZZZZZZZZAAAAAAA. Best Pizza ever. Home town bar with a flair. Actually everything we have eaten at the Depot has been terrific!!

WOW!!!!. This was an unexpected surprise. This is the best pizza, hands down, in the area and probably one of the best pizzas I have ever had! They obviously use fresh ingredients and hand made crusts which make all of the difference between a good pizza and a great pizza. I am hooked.
