Editorial Review for Queen of Excelsior – by

In Short
The Queen of Excelsior is a 70-foot, two-level luxury liner that can accommodate 150 people (130 for dining). Its fully enclosed Lido Deck on the lower level features a bar and built-in dance floor with a sound-and-light system. The 63-foot QE II accommodates 60 passengers in similar luxurious style. Although both liners can be booked for private parties, there's also the Sunday brunch cruise and a Tuesday night pizza-and-beer fest on QEII.

Cost was $25 per person to go on the Sunday Brunch tour around Lake Minnetonka. Food was okay but nothing amazing - fruit and a pastry followed by (reheated) creamy chicken and mushrooms in a filo pastry Tour was pretty good and the captain did a good job of pointing out some of the more exciting properties on the lake. At 2 hours, the trip was definitely long enough. Good for people new to the region (we are) but that's all. BTW, try to get a table upstairs on the right hand side - has the best views during the trip.

Pros: Free parking, views you won't see driving about the lake

Cons: Seems expensive for what you get, food average, makes you wish you could afford a bigger house!

Like its quasi-namesake, this "QE" plies 110 miles of water in style.  See the full editorial review.
