Finger-licking ribs this good just can't be Northern barbecue..
In Short
Eat at this chain and you'll swear the Mason-Dixon line moved to Saskatchewan. The weathered-looking wooden walls of Dave's shacks are decked out with roadside signs and cute pig paintings. You stand in line to order, then take a numbered wooden pig to your table. The sandwiches and platters (including Texas beef brisket and Georgia chopped pork) are filling, but favorites include a mess of St. Louis-style ribs, sticky with Dave's own award-winning sauce.

Just Plain Good BBQ.
Just plain old flavorfull BBQ. The only problem I have seen is the inconsistant product served at each of the stores. The Woodbury location is without a question the best store located in the Twin Cities. You have to love what they do when they come up with new menu ideas but more would be better!

BBQ at its best!.
Great ribs and home fries... definitely has surpassed Rudolphs Ribs! And the sauce for the bread pudding is the bomb!

Great food in a fun atmosphere!.
I would recommend Famous Dave's to anyone that loves Bar-B-Que, and who doesn't mind getting their hands dirty. ;)
Famous Dave's is our favorite restaurant! It has great ribs, at a good price, and you get a lot of food. They also have other good selections for those that do not like ribs, (but even if you don't, you should try them.) The atmosphere is very relaxed and great for families.
