Fine dining in the evening for rock bottom price. This place became our favorite after our first visit. In the evenings you will experience a cozy fireplace, white linens and exceptional service. The food is always fresh and made to your specifications. They will not rush you out the door when you are through and will always box up your leftovers beautifully. Usually a Phoenix Dragon's Next dinner is more than the two of us can eat and since they serve "family style" sharing is never an issue.

highly recommend it!. I've been eating at the Chinese Gourmet for years. It is one of my favorite restaurants near my work. They're great with small & large groups and the food is fabulous. It always tastes fresh and they will even take special requests without any problems. I think they also do catering- I bet it would be really good!

Dine in!. Went there with my family on Saturday night when all other restaurants had a 30min wait minimum. There was only 1 other party there and we pretty much had exclusive service. I have had their take-out a few times but it was my first dine-in experience. The menu is broad and unique from typical Chinese take-out. We had the Chicken Almond Ding which was excellent along with Beef Broccoli. Sauce was not heavy on either meal which I like and was very flavorful. Had Sake for the first time, which I can't say I take a taste to. Overall great quality food for a good price.

FANTASTIC FOOD. I love the Chinese Gourmet. I always receive friendly and prompt service when I dine in. They have the best Hot and Sour Soup. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming. They are very personable and not just after your money like many chain restaurants. I highly recommend this restaurant! Fireplace is the best!

Excellent Chinese Food!!!. My family dined-in and tried the Chinese New Year menu. The lobster in black bean sauce and tofu were amazingly tasty! We also had the chicken fried rice - BEST FRIED RICE EVER, we loved it! We will definitely be back!!!

Terrible. What a waste of money. Overpriced and disgusting.

The fried rice was the worst I have ever had. Mongolian Beef was nasty! I will NEVER go back to Chinese Gourmet and do NOT recommend it to anyone!

The Best Food!. The taste of their food is like no other in this area. My favorite is the House LoMein, the egg rolls and oh my gosh the cream cheese things are out of this world.

Great Chinese food, best in Minnesota, great service, friendly!. My husband and I eat here all of the time. The staff is friendly, atmosphere is cozy, and best of all the food is great. Some of the best fried rice I have ever eaten, the shrimp fried rice is my favorite. I really like the shrimp curry, my husband likes the cashew chicken and the shrimp with lobster sauce. They can even make it extra spicy! Try their egg drop and wonton soup! It is wonderful! Oh and their cheese puffs. All of their dishes are great. I have never tried anything I did not like.

Simply the best!!!. The Chinese Gourmet has been serving the best asian cuisine south of the river for more than 20 years. Using tradtional chinese ingredients, the owner, Joe, has perfected all the recipes and has made each dish distinctively his own. This restaurant can boast the best Egg Foo Young, traditional Chow Mein, Fried Rice, Specialties & Pot Stickers anywhere. If you live in MN, you have to try this place just once, you will be hooked!

Great food.. I eat here all the time. Chinese Gourmet has some of the best wonton soup in town. I highly recommend the crunchy tiger chicken or sweet and sour chicken. My wife loves the seafood chow fun.
