Uptown hair in the 'burbs

Mandy Simmons of Shear Madness has been my hairdresser for over ten years. And I get many compliments on my hair since I've met her. Prior to Mandy, I've had good men and women cut and color my hair, but each of them really only had one look for me. And when I'd come in asking for a change, something new, no matter how specific I was (or wasn't), by the second or third cut later I'd realize we were back to the original look. Not Mandy - she can do ANYTHING - and change is something she welcomes from her clients. Unless, that is, one comes in with an idea that isn't quite right. Then she'll gently, but firmly, express her opinion. You can be assured that you'll walk out looking great for both cut and color, if you've just left Mandy's chair. She also does make-up and is much sought after by brides, their mothers, and those headed to their Prom.
- Pros: Here's a hairdresser w/ VISION
- Cons: Lighting is not complimentary

WOW!

Just walking in the door I knew I was in for something great. For someone like me who never took the time to pamper myself, let me tell you those times have changed! I recently had a manicure by Angelle, and never knew my nails could look so great! I received a French polish which for me is normally chipped by the next day but not with hers. It lasted a solid two weeks and everyone thought I had artificial nails put on. When my nails are done I feel much more presentable and confident!
- Pros: Awsome Staff- you feel like your at home with girlfriends
- Cons: A ways from where I live but sooooo worth every minute of the drive!

Beautiful salon, very inviting

I had my nails and hair done. Jane introduced me to gel nails, they are beautiful! She is able to make them look so natural, my friends don't even realize they are 'fake'! Cari did my haircut. She took the time to ask what I was looking for, and listened to all my concerns. I loved the extra attention she gave me, and my cut was perfect! It is so nice to be able to go home and style it the way she did! The atmosphere was so fun there!
