Hopkins Auto Body & Glass

BEWARE. My bumper was repaired less then a year ago and the paint cracked when it was in a minor fender fender. Another auto body shop told me it was due to the bumper not being prepped properly . A friend said his hood is bubbling after being repainted at Hopkins Auto Body about 3 years ago. The car rental next door is a joke. They had no record of my reservation and of least 2 other people trying to rent cars at the same time.…

I will never use Hopkins Auto Body again.. I had a problem with the price being higher than they told me and they did not leave the car out for me to pick up as promised. Now, I am stuck with arrogant people that refuse to rectify a problem that they created. I should have believed the other review and looked elsewhere for my body work.…

Hopkins auto body. My nearly brand new car suffered body damaged while in this shop. They became angry when I made them fix it. Also, this shop has some deal with a very poor car rental angency. They provided me with a filthy, dangerous car even though I have car rental coverage and there is a good car rental agency right next door. They must be getting some deal with this cheap car rental place. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a car repair shop. They damaged my car, provdied average quality work, and they were very arrogant. I am shocked that this place has received good reviews. Perhaps thefriend of the owners are writing in to boost the ratings. BE CAREFUL OF THIS PLACE!…

There are a lot of other choices. Before choosing Hopkins Auto Body I stopped in and was impressed by their shop and by the politeness of the receptionist. I should have went 1 level further before making my decision because that is where all of my problems arose. After getting everything approved and ok'd by my insurance company, I received a call from 'my rep' at Hopkins Auto telling me that they could not repair all of my vehicle. I was confused because I had just talked with my agent before this call. It was almost as if they didn't want the work. I had to go back and talk to my agent again to see what the issues were. She had thought everything was good to go until she received a call from Hopkins Auto Body telling her some made up story.

I say made up story because never once during this process did I receive a call asking me what happened to my vehicle. So if they didn't hear from me, I wonder who they talked too. My agent knew what happened but after checking with her again, she said they never asked her either. So, in the end, only half my vehicle was repaired and the other half they would not fix, even though it was already cleared by my insurance agent to pay for the total repairs. I filled out their response card and have informed them that I am dissatisfied, but I have never received any reply from them. They had my vehicle for almost 5 weeks total so I assumed everything was going to look great especially since they were taking more than 2 weeks longer than they had originally stated. Not the case.

There are so many choices for body work, so take your time, but definitely go somewhere else.…
