Get cozy with friends and family and enjoy an Italian feast at this loved-by-locals restaurant..
In Short
Homesick for your mother's Italian cooking? Grab your appetite and head to this restaurant, where the friendly wait staff will serve up portions of Colosseum-esque proportions, like spaghetti and meatballs loaded with savory tomato sauce and lots of pungent garlic. Dishes center on Southern Italian immigrant fare, and are meant to be shared family-style with a large goblet of wine-to enhance the taste, of course. The ornate décor with walls covered in vintage photos evokes a warm homey feel that welcomes customers to dine among the other families and loyal customers. Buon Appetito!

BUCA-TO-GO. . . . . NO...NO...NO!!!.
We have been fans of Buca since it first opened. But I am sad to say that the quality has slipped and the Buca-To-Go service is getting really bad. The last two times we ordered food for pick-up, it took much longer than we were told (last night I waited in the parking lot an additional 25 minutes beyond the promised time) and when we got the bags home, something was always missing.
A few months ago, we ordered three entrees, salad, two garlic mozzarella bread, and desserts for six people. When we got home, the garlic bread and desserts were missing.
Last night we ordered enough for eight people and two large entrees and an appetizer were missing.
Granted, after calling back, each time the manager apologized, had the items delivered to us, and provided us with $30.00 in coupons. But that still left us waiting around for nearly a half an hour before we could start dinner.
I still love the Eggplant Parmigiana, Chicken Saltimboca and the Antipasto Salad. But the Alfredo sauce has lost its zip and the Garlic Mozzarella bread is not nearly as good as it used to be.
So, to avoid disappointment, make sure you have your full order before you leave and choose your items wisely.

My favorite Italian Restaurant in the U.S.!.
Buca has THE BEST chicken parmigiana! I have had chicken parmigiana in almost every state in the U.S. and theirs is the absolute BEST! Be sure to order the salad - you will be SO GLAD you did, because their dressing is DIVINE! I have also enjoyed their Chicken Marsala and their Ravioli - absolutely delicious!
Some evenings have a wait, but it is worth it. The food is fantastic and the staff is always friendly.

Waste of Time.
Buca is strictly for folks who know nothing about good Italian food. No thanks.

You can't eat if they won't seat you.
Sunday lunch sounded like a great idea. Turned out not to be. I've been there before and wasn't real impressed but I always give restraunts a second chance.
We walked in, no host or hostess, just 2 cooks chatting in the kitchen window, 2 plates of food waiting to be served. A server leaning on a booth chatting with patrons. 7 minutes later with no changes and no one noticing we were there, we left. And those two plates of food were still in the window.
They might be good when they're busier, but they don't really care about Sunday lunch - don't bother trying to get in to eat.
