Awesome Food!. Best Mexican food this side of the border. I would definately reccomend this place to anyone who's looking for fast service and an amazing eat.
OUT OF BUSINESS. This restaurant was great, but it's now out of business. Try the Bloomington location as I believe it is the only one left in the metro area.
A festive atmosphere, potent margaritas and wallet-friendly prices lure crowds to this popular Mexican chain..
In Short
With friendly servers and goofy gimmicks, Chevys is a big draw for families and groups looking for a fun, affordable night out. A full bar and a dozen different margaritas attract a happy hour crowd, and a tortilla machine is often surrounded by children watching the dough-to-tortilla transformation. Fajitas, a house specialty, are available with nearly a dozen different fillings, from mesquite-grilled chicken to portobello mushrooms and asparagus. Desserts include flan and sopaipillas.
above and beyond!. great food with flavor! I love coming to this Chevy's and the bloomington location as well, always the same the food, service, and atmosphere are second to nothing! The type of restaurant to dine everyday and I found it perfect for my large partie! Highly recommended Sarah at EP and Liz at Bloomington. You both are wonderful at what you do and we appreciate your great service! As a consumer if you never go you will regret it the food is addictive!!!!!!!!!! AND WELL WORTH THE PRICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Best place to spend hard earned money!.
Fantastic Food, Great Price!. I went here recently with 4 friends. Chevys has great food, wonderful service, all for a great price. I would recommend them to anyone. Enjoy!
Awesome atmosphere and Awesome food. Chevy's is a great place to go if you're hungry and looking for a festive and colorful atmosphere. The food and service are upper tier. To start off dinner, they bring a basket of homemade tortillas with fresh salsa; free of charge. The portions are more than generous, prices are very fair, and they have a large selection of festive Mexican drinks to accompany the meal.
Not mexican food & not good.
I have never had such horrible tortillas. They are more like Pita bread, and very tiny and doughy.
The food is too expensive. The portions keep getting smaller all the time.
I saw the bus boy one day wearing plastic gloves while cleaning tables. He then walked to the tortilla machine and put in some dough balls-same gloves. yuk!
Not enough servers, too long a wait.
November 2006 - Update
So sad... I tried this place again. I expect it's not going to be open very long. The seats were ragged, the decor is tattered. I ordered the fajitas, and my cast iron plate was so warped it was like eating off of an upside bowl.
My experience is that if the customer area is obvioulsy being neglected, the back room is even worse.
Do not go.
lively, noisey, average food. I find Chevy's to serve average tasting Mexican food. A really loud atmosphere, not impressed with the food flavor but the service is good.
