Sliders from hell. Hi I ate at the Gold Nugget last Thursday and ordered the sliders which are cooked like the original burger they sell but smaller. I ate one of the three sliders and when I looked down after my first bite the middle was pink and the juice came out red and pink. I left at 10 and by 12 that night I had the worst stomach cramps ever. My body was shaking and covered with sweat. I spent the whole night of the bathroom floor, I felt like I was dying. I definitely got food poisoning or E.Coli from the sliders. I don't think the cooks care to cook their beef properly or worry about the after effects from under cooking their burgers. I never felt that sick in my life! I would never eat there again!

A favorite local hangout!. The new and improved Gold Nugget is a fine addition to the neighborhood, where options are quite limited for brunch, happy hour, lunches and a great dinner! The Gold Nugget has it all and is a fabulous stop for anyone, no matter what your age. Children can dine on a delicious meal at a reasonable price, offering fresh veggie sticks instead of fries if desired. Anyone can celebrate a Birthday or Retirement in the beautiful Cafe dining area or back in the private, stained glass window party room. Our family favorite is Sunday Brunch after church, complete with delicious egg dishes, a fresh cup of coffee and extremely friendly service. The Managers, Michael, Kelly, Dan, Robert, Terry...and all the staff, including Joel the Executive Chef are approachable, welcoming and open to neighborhood comments and suggestions. Even the owners pop by on a regular basis to say "hello" and visit awhile.

Great People, Great Burgers. With it's reopening in the Spring of 2008, the Gold Nugget is looking like the best kept secret in Eastern Minnetonka. The friendliest Service in town, their home-made, hand-pattied burgers, and always frosty beverages make for a great retreat from work, or a great place for the family at night.

Even though it's temporarily shut down for re-construction, I can't wait for them to be back in town. Definately have to stop in to see what their new digs are going to be.

Great for Kids. We went there last Friday. My daughter who is 2 1/2 had a burger and fries. She ate it all and had fun talking to the people. When she was waiting for her food. I asked if they had crayons and paper. They did and had fun coloring. I had a burger and onion rings. Everything was great, the food, people, and NO SMOKING. We are planning on telling friends and coming back for more.

You can also use your credit card too!!

Good Chow. Great burgers, awsome onion rings. The homemade chile is wonderful. There is a back yard patio for the nice days.

Now remodeled an expensive. Stay away!

Hidden Secret. This down-to earth Bar is not for a Stiletto heeled Pairis Hilton, If your looking for good service, cold beer, and a hearty heart pumping hamburger & fries, this place is my top dawg. Its like walking into a bar for the 1900, old rustic has some history, and understand the value of providing a greasy burger that will invite you back for another.. Tip one back for me and enjoy there patio in the back..

Lots of Character........ Plain and simple - if you're looking for a great cheeseburger, crispy french fries, and an ice-cold beer to wash it down, the Gold Nugget is a must. Lots of character in this roadside place - no frills and a very friendly staff. By the way, try the chili and vegetable beef soup as well. You won't be disappointed!

Burger to satsify the soul!. Gold Nugget Bar has exceptional burgers and of course onion rings. These burgurs are overiszed and litterally melt in your mouth they are so tender and juicy. For a quiet small town feel in a big city go to Gold Nugget for a burger that is as good as GOLD.
