In Short – Customers drive an hour from Woodbury and Scandia to this house-turned-bakery on the Twin Cities' western fringe. Two albums bulge with photos of cakes long since admired and consumed, among them European-style works of art draped in fondant. Picture handmade and hand-painted lilies or daisies, shocks of wheat, cornucopia of fruit--and marzipan. On others, buttercream becomes simulated birch bark, white chocolate gets crafted into seashells, and chocolate-dunked strawberries separate cake layers.
