Good Sushi, not so good service.. Food was good, service not so good. We waited a half hour before a drink order was taken. The sushi was well prepared, fresh and good portion size. Parking was easy (and free) across the street.

Fantastic Sushi!!!. Origami has the best Sushi I have ever had. Service is great and if you're on the west side of the city, check out Origami West at the Ridgedale Mall.

Best Sushi. I Love the sushi its is so good. The restaurant is small but comfy. The service is probably not the best they seem like they really hate people. But I just go for the food.

So Good!. THE BEST sushi restaurant in the city!!! They only sell whats fresh and in season- no matter how popular an item may be. Its expensive- but good sushi is ALWAYS expensive- dont bother going if youre on a tight budget because the bill can (and will) get out of control if youre not careful. They dont take reservations and the weight can get long. Dont go if youre on a tight schedule, but if you arent, they have a wonderful bar you can wait for your table in.

Popular Warehouse District spot known for a large sushi menu and creative Japanese dishes.. In Short
Located in a 100-year-old building in downtown Minneapolis, Origami is the picture of Japanese simplicity: subdued colors, soft lighting, clean lines. The restaurant's feel is casually upscale--Levi's or Prada are equally welcome. This is a haven for the sushi-obsessed, and many diners seem to know each other. It's regarded as the best sushi in the Twin Cities, but there are a wealth of other choices: Japanese noodles and halibut cheek to name a few.

They don't take reservations. I agree with several of the others who rated this restaurant. Overall it is difficult to get good service or good food at any Minneapolis restaurant. This one is no exception, and it is in an area of the city that is inconvenient. As far as I am concerned it isn't worth driving there unless they can guarantee me a table. Grow up Origima, your in a big city and big city restaurants offer reservations.

Origami- A Fantastic Experience!. I have had some bad sushi in the past- so Origami was a fantastic experience! I loved everything my boyfriend and I ordered. Our waitress was so knowledgeable and friendly- we wouldnt have had to know a thing about sushi- she would have taken care of it!

Fun date idea for the adventurous (lots to take in and talk about)

Best Sushi yet. My husband and I have been to nearly every sushi bar in town, and Origami Minneapolis is simiply the best. We went there before a show at Jeune Leune, what a perfect evening!

Sakura Wins. The resteraunt wasn't what we expected after reading all the great reviews. We were definatly very dissapointed. The atmosphere and service was good. The sushi however pails in comparison to other sushi places such as sakura in downtown St Paul. The prices were very high for the amount and quality of sushi you get.

Overall, very dissapointed and will not return.

For the first or second date. This place is very popular, so don't expect to be seated right away. The associated bar upstairs from the restaurant is the perfect place to grab a drink while waiting for your pager to blink. They have a very impressive sake list, and the staff can make reservations. If your there to nosh purely on sushi, ask to be seated at the sushi bar. Seating with the platters might be a little snug. I had no idea you could make your stomach hurt by eating too much.
