What People Are Saying About Bev's Winebar

In Short – Tucked in at the far end of Minneapolis' Warehouse District, Bev's is the perfect destination for an illicit tryst or a date with someone who's been to all the usual suspects. Single candles on each table give off a romantic glow and the exposed-brick walls give the place a lived-in warmth. Professional servers help novices navigate the affordable wine list. Food selections are simple and limited, like baguettes with an assortment of cheese and pâté.
Rude on the phone

Tried to go to Bev's after work, no parking. Called to see where they sugesyed the best parking was. "In the lot next to us". Told them that it said we'd be towed. "If it's the one I'm thinking of you'll be fine". Which one? You're surrounded by parking lots for other places like the strip club. "OKAY! BYE". Abd hung up on me. Going to Spill the Wine instead. They are not rude.
- Pros: Example: best croissants in town
- Cons: What are the drawbacks?
$3.50 pints!!! incl. SURLY, summit, etc..
by jamespatrick612
Bev's is all the comforts of a fireside bottle of wine, without the fireside. Fantastic local vibe with a crafted wine selection.. NOW with 3.50 pints of FANTASTIC ales such as the ever popular SURLY BENDER.
(other taps as well, but the Bender is DROP DEAD delicious!)
- Pros: wine selection, location, environment, NEW TAPS!
- Cons: no "big" food items, no accomodations for big groups.
Great Little Secret in Minneapolis
by jbvv
Bev's was the location for a friend's birthday recently, and it was phenomenal! A bit hard to find (3rd and Washington, beside "The VU" and Visage) but plenty of parking once there. Intimate setting, with only a few tables and big bar, our party of 8 were about the only ones in the whole place. Very dimly lit, with candles on every table, it had a mysterious and exciting vibe about it. Now they have liquor, as well as a bang-up wine list. The drink prices were a little high, but the excellend server, Shelly, made up for that. We munched on mushroom pate (Wonderful!) and a cheese plate, very French feeling.
If you want an out-of-the-way place to chat with a date, or catch up with a friend, this is the place! Feels like a small-town bar in the middle of Minneapolis. Great time!
- Pros: Not crowded, ambiance, parking, service
- Cons: smaller, not great for large crowds, a bit pricy
