A downtown dive bar.. This downtown dive bar bears the signature signs of every other Minneapolis dive bar: A couple of small windows decorate the front, a telltale sign that the single source of light inside emanates from the neon beer signs. And the façade, covered in '70s forest green and wood remnants, screams old-school pride. Inside, the bar is definitely dark, but the mood is always lively. The same bartenders have been there for years, and have their first dollar bills on the wall behind the bar to prove it. Downtown crowds and Cuzzy’s regulars dine on typical Cuzzy’s fare, like giant breakfasts fit for a king and fries topped with ham, peppers and cheese. In fact, though its cover is typical, this downtown favorite is anything but.

Editorial Review. Breakfast-heavy American fare served-up in family-size portions: Eggs all styles, omelets stuffed with veggies, cheese and meat; fries, burgers, nachos and salads.

The Cheers of Minneapolis. Perhaps because the owners and staff are so friendly, this neighborhood pub attracts the best crowd around. Service is speedy, and the food is surprising. It may not look like much from the outside, but inside, gourmet fare is being served. It is a Warehouse District gem.

Eat and be merry. The food at Cuzzy's defies normal tavern conventions. These are some of the best burgers I've had ANYWHERE. The chicken is equally hearty, and the specials are fancier than you'd expect. I recommend the Italian chicken sandwich or burger -- they come topped with red sauce and pepperoni. You can even get tater tots, though the fries are darn good. Service is a little more "out there" than Applebee's, for example, but I see that as a positive. If you go to Cuzzy's, you'll be in a happy food coma for hours afterwards.
