Fantastic Service, food, and drink.
We have gone there once a year (maybe twice) for the past three years. I won't have a sandwich anywhere else. Reuben sandwiches are the best I have ever had!
We have eaten fish and chips there, the chicken sandwich, the wells fargo (?) and more. We have never been disappointed.
The wait staff is extremely friendly, always quick to make sure you don't need anything or have a problem with anything.
The small town atmosphere in the pub makes it a place to go for a meal and a few drinks.
The drinks are comparable to any other bar and quite a bit cheaper than some of the other local restaurants. Having eaten in the zozo, fireplace (Radisson plaza) and a few others, I can honestly say that none of them hold a candle for over all comfort.
I admit, it isn't the quietest place to eat, but it is perfect for those of us who enjoy a hometown feel.

neighborhood feel in down town.
I've been into the Lyons Pub a few times and every time I've been happy, even on a busy Sunday before a Vikes game. If you are into great burgers this is your place, they also have an amazing French Dip. It's a great place to meet up with people before or after a game. It's also a hopping place during happy hour. The only problem I think, is the beer prices are a little high, but it is a bar in down town.

Bartenders skimming money from customers.
We went to what appeared to be a nice pub in Minneapolis, after one drink we noticed that one couple's change from the previous round was gone. I was confused as there was no one else standing by our group. I left two large bills on next to my drink after I was relatively sure the bartender took the other's change for himself. I turned to answer a question and then turned back and the bills were gone. This happened within 5-10 seconds and I could see the bartender make a sweep of the bar out of the corner of my eye. I confronted the bartenders ,and the manager came over, and we were 'ushered' out of the bar. I would avoid this place, and I believe this is something the group was doing together, as none acted surprised, and were just plain sore cause they got caught.

Does not live up to its reputation.
I've heard good things, so went there expecting ok food, but instead we both got cold fries (completely inedible) and sandwiches with chicken so burnt I couldn't even bite through parts of it. Yes, it's pretty cheap food, but if you can't even eat it, it's not worth it. Maybe it's ok for happy hour/drinks, but I don't recommend the food and do not plan to go back since it's in such an inconvenient place.

Just relax.
Great place to meet and hang out with friends after a stressful day in the white noise of the downtown corporate offices. Excellent beer selection

Good neighborhood bar.
I guess it's the closest version to CHeers I've seen in downtown Minneapolis. There's a dance floor, food, cigars and booze. Not too smokey, nor too loud, now to quiet. A lot of the people who patronioze the establishment are sort-of regulars, and I know i've made it my home-bar as well.
