Whay did they drop the bands?. Champps Alley was a great time last summer because they had bands on Fridays and Saturdays. Now they stopped having bands my friends and I have no reason to go anymore.

Sports restaurant-bar draws fans who love the food as much as the game.. In Short
Using their original burgers-and-beer joint in St. Paul, Minn., as a base modl, this sports-themed chain is now a popular hangout for all ages nationwide. The memorabilia-loaded space is crowded with families and friends chatting over chili cheeseburgers, bourbon-glazed pork chops and large orders of soups and salads. On major game nights, the shiny wooden bar area is packed with small groups eyeing the monitors above while cheering or grumbling into their pints and fries.

Fun before a game. Good place to go and eat before heading over to the Target Center to enjoy a game or concert. Food is good and comes in large portions. Convenient location and within easy walking distance of the many parking ramps downtown. Use the skyway during the winter to avoid the cold.

Lousy food at high prices. I've been to many Champps in the area, but this one is definitely the worst I've been to. I couldn't believe how bad the food was compared to their other places. My nachos platter appetizer had only eleven (11) chips on it. My chicken sandwich was undercooked, and the fries were cold. And to top it all off, my waiter never came around to check on my meal or see if I wanted another beer. I'll never go there again.

Downhill. We haven't been to this Champps for quite a while. Seems like their food has gone downhill from previous visits. Have been to other Champps and food was much, much better. Think we'll have to stay with our Champps in the 'burbs!

Crowded!. Champps was crowded, service was slow, couldn't watch the game. If you came here to watch sports, you may be disappointed if you weren't lucky enough to get a seat early at the bar.

It's a sports bar.... If you're looking for a hip place to sip on martini's or a microbrew and have a great meal, there are many other fine(non-chain) restaurants in the Twin Cities. If you want to sit down, watch a game with sports fans, and have a good burger at a good value with a couple of beers, then Chammps is your place.

Chumpps!. Best fries? Hardly. Frankly, I don't know how this made the list. I had the Dijon Burger which was kind of greasy and I ordered a side of the Champps fries that this site raved about. They're WAFFLE FRIES! They were all right, but hardly "the best."

Sorry, but I couldn't find a reason to go back.
