WORSE CLUB EVER. SHOULD'VE BEEN KEPT CLOSED!. I HATE "EPIC"! Despite its new name, its still the same and stems from the rude management and trinkles down to the service. Last week I called John regarding their VIP services there. Not only was he NOT listening to what I had asked and made me repeat myself 3 times, he was yelling over the phone, very short, and annoyed by the fact that I had called. 1. if you don't want people to call about your VIP services, don't put your personal number online for people to contact you and get an assistant. 2. if you're busy, tell the person you will call them back. 3. have a little respect for the people who even consider Epic to go clubbing at. With that call ending, I immediately decided I would NOT invest in their services and would just purchase presale tickets to avoid the unnecessary long dreaded line that "Epic" is known for. The friends who didn't purchase tickets were forced to wait in line for over an hour in the cold, and told by the bouncers "we don't care if you get in or not!" 1. if it wasn't for the turn out of people, your butt wouldn't be at the doors with a job. 2. if you were doing your job right, there wouldn't be such a mess at the door. 3. don't try and make it look like its hoppin' with an unnecessary line when theres only 10 people inside. Not one person I know likes "Epic", because of their service. You can't hide your old ways behind a new name. Same pig management, same pig services, which will lead you to the same result: being closed down, which is probably best for you anyway! Didn't you learn a lesson? If your venue is at Epic, its a guaranteed loss for you. Not only do they cut you short from fans before the party, but fans who do come and support you as well. My personal advice is don't associate with such services unless you believe in their services and want that image to reflect on you as well. Its only the pigs at Epic. Gotta hand it to ya Epic, people bad mouthing about you is your only source of marketing. Thats real promising.
A local favorite for live music and DJ sets in downtown Minneapolis..
In Short
Its zany decor is nearly out of a movie, but this multilevel club's delicious music mix of old-school funk, cutting-edge electronica, alt-rock and R&B make for long lines on weekends after hours. The crowd: mixed, depending on what's happening at the club, but usually hip. The drinks are strong and professionally (if not promptly) served. The Quest rivals First Avenue as Minneapolis' premier live music venue and features visits from internationally known DJs.
Quest has gone way down hill. This ain't Prince's club, or even the old Quest. It's Clear Channel, baby, and it ain't pretty. Tood bad, another once-great venue falls victim to soulless corporate pigs.
Quest on Saturday night. The quest is the place to be on Saturday night for dance music. No other club can even compare to the atmoshphere and music quality. It is a little more expensive than say first avenue, but the quality of makes it a bargin.
We'll see how it is!. Well...I stand corrected. There is a newer R&B, hip-hop night that is on Friday. But...I checked out the same type of night when it was on Wednesdays...and it was dead as a doornail. I wonder if it is getting any support now...and if it's getting promoted. That's the thing...Monday's salsa night gets the press...but they don't pump the R&B night (probably little or no advertising). I'll see how it is when I come to town in late July. I am skeptical.
Best Night Club. This is the best night club in town without a doubt if you're into electronica/house/etc. Top national performers and local acts. Great atmosphere, with lots of cool people.
Salsa Night Rocks. I went to the Quest Monday night and it was the most fun i've ever had in my whole life! I was in town for a couple weeks and only got to go once but it was incredible!! EVeryone should go! Even if you're not a good dancer they will teach you!
LA Noche de Salsa: Mondays. Monday nights are great for people under 21 yrs who enjoy to dance salsa. Most places in the Twin Cities/ Minneapolis, MN are limited to those 21 yrs or older. Thumbs up to the Quest, which accessed lovers of the latino culture to lively music and fun dance!
The Quest. The Quest is the best club in Minneapolis, for live acts, drinks, and atmosphere. I love going to the Quest!
welcome to my church.... ...where the dj is the priest, the turntables are at the altar, God is all around and "churchgoers come out for a great social and spiritual function...who needs Sunday morning mass when you can celebrate life at Plush on Saturday night? This is the church of our generation. Long live the Quest! This is a happy place and Plush always has great music! I cannot believe the DJs who come! We are so lucky to have such talent come to our neck of the woods. If you love electronic music, this is the place to be. A very young crowd, but hey, who's counting? 20s are abundant, 30s is OK, and 40s is definitely pushing it. If you are some 50 year old creep hitting on an 18 year old girl, this is definitely not the place for you. Nor is anyplace for that matter.
