This lesbian-owned shop is one of the few remaining independent bookstores in the Twin Cities. In July 2000, Amazon moved to this south Minneapolis, where it has a cafe and shares the building with Chrysalis Center for Women. Amazon features an extensive selection of women's fiction and nonfiction, plenty of unique gift and jewelry items, artwork, a children's reading area and a well-stocked periodicals rack.
