Best Record Store, hands down..
This is hands down the best record store in the Twin cities for both local, national and even international music. They also have the cutest women's clothing around. I actually find myself shopping here instead of Cliche because they carry some of the same brands, but with wayyyyy less of a mark up (sorry cliche, you're great but they beat you on prices so hard).
I love it. It's family owned and a true local business.
Do u guys have ticket for bennie man concert?. Do u guys have ticket for bennie man concert?
Best local music selection. Best local gifts.. I love the fetus for what it does to a community. i believe it's so important to support local music, and local arts, and the fetus does a great job of that. The staff is friendly and helpful, they almost always have what you want- and then some, they have the BEST clothing and gifts and a huge selection of aromatic "supplies". It's a really cool environment, that you'll never feel unwelcome at- unless you're stealing, they sure do not tolerate thieves according to all the signs.
A well-heeled version of the '60s head and record shop..
In Short
The Electric Fetus, a dimly-lit storefront filled with the heady perfume of incense, stocks quite a selection. The biggest draw is the racks of new and used compact discs and tapes, but the shop also stocks funky gifts and smoking paraphernalia (you know what we're talking about). The music selection is mind-boggling: jazz, blues, folk, rock, rap, country, reggae and world music.
Fetus it. Most of Fetus' gifts can be found at other locations, but their music selection is wonderful. Their new CDs are spendy, but they'll have that album you can't find anywhere else. Music DVDs are awesome, but once over priced. Fetus carries Organic Light American Spirits, which most smoke shops don't even. They also get nice n trendy clothes in that isn't found elsewhere around the city. Silver selection is good, staff usually lets you take posters if you wnat them. Or they'll put yoru name on the back of it and call you when they're done using it.
If you can't find it here..... The Electric Fetus has it hands deep into the local music scene and all kinds of music. If they don't carry it, they will find it somewhere and order it for you. Besides having music, they also have some clothes, books, candles, jewerly and more. It's a great place to spend a rainy afternoon in.
try here if you can't find it. I was shopping at Cheapo, and the even the employee over there referred me to Electric Fetus. Just look around at their selection, and you will know that they love music a little more than the rest...or else they love it a little more compulsively than the rest. Either way, it means that your chances of finding what the others don't offer are great.
Hey Man..thats my record!!. Seems like it has been there for years...I love this place..It has it all for the one of many trades!!..just love there Lava lamps...and the people who work it ...are the best...andy warhol..would be pleased!!
Diverse Selection. I consider myself to fit in the category of an eclectic music collector. Mainstream stores such as Best buy, Sam Goodie and Musicland just can't cater to the diversity of an all encomapsing music provider as the Fetus. If for some reason they do not have the music fix that you're looking for, they'll have the ability to order it for you in a timely manner.
