An incredibly palatable mushroom swiss burger. I only did takeout, but the Mushroom Swiss was well worth the walk!! It had great flavor, making my taste buds dance for more. I would love to sit and enjoy the quaint atmosphere in the future. I find the out of the way location adds to the mystique.

Best American fries in town!. I LOVE the Band Box! Lots of interesting people to talk to (and I'm an introvert!). The food is pretty traditional diner fare, but those American fries...NUM! The breakfast sandwich with the smoked turkey is another menu favorite of mine. I don't get there much for lunch, but when I do the mushroom swiss burger is so worth the fat and calories. I had to laugh about the service complaint below. I think that the staff is VERY friendly, but they certainly aren't professional, Manny's-type waitstaff, just kids working 2 and 3 jobs trying to get by. Adds to the quirky, neighborhood charm of the place, in my book. Ah well, if I wanted truly rude service, I'd go anywhere in Uptown or Edina - they're masters!

Fun Times. The food is good and cheap. The smoked turkey sandwich is great you'll get addicted so be careful. The atmosphere is one of the great things about this restaurant. Usually in and out within 30 min.

Loved it. I have only been there once, and not since the renovation, but my experience at the Bandbox was more than pleasant. I thoroughly enjoyed the food, and that's not something I say very often as a culinarian. The only complaint I had was how smoky the building was, but if I recall correctly, the addition was supposed to help take care of that

House of BAD service. I waited at the counter for over 15 minutes and NEVER got a cup of coffee, much less breakfast. I was ignored for a quarter of an hour while the people behind the counter stood around. A couple at the table behind me also had to wait and wait and wait. I saw them cooking food on the grill and people around me were eating. They weren't out of food, but apparently can't be bothered to wait on anyone. I'll certainly never go back there again and would advise anyone else to do the same, unless you're a sap who likes being treated like dirt. AVOID THIS PLACE.

Burger Afficionado's Aphrodisiac. Great little place. Unpretentious, clean and filled with nice diner lovers. The club sandwich was small and unremarkable, but the burgers are what this place is all about. The mushroom swiss has all the taste you could ask for from a well-seasoned grill manned by a grill guru. A little hard to find, but worth the effort.
