No way!. Lived in NYC for a few years. Left a concert tonight in a definite mood for a New York slice. Have had mediocre pizza up til now, remembered this place and thought we'd give it a try. Delicious! Very surprised to find something so close to the slices of the Big Apple! :) Will return.

Gimme a slice....please.. A Slice of New York rocks! I agree with a all the positive reviews. Born and raised in New York City Queens, the slices bring me back to my roots.

Great Pizza. The pizza here is the best pizza in the Minneapolis area. The dough and sauce are so good and yummy and the people there are always really nice and friendly. Though it seems like not many people do, it's a nice place to sit and eat if you're looking for some place casual. The prices are also reasonable. I would definitely recommend it.

Finally!!!. A place that gets it right!! As a native NYer from the Bronx, this place takes me back to the pizza I grew up with. The crust and sauce are what matter most and these guys nail it, even my mutha likes it! The sauce has just enough garlic but not overly-acidic and the crust isn't that doughy mess that's usually found in other pizzas around the area. The owner and the guys behind the counter are great, if you get to know them they'll try the 'experimental' new stuff on you. If you're from NY(and there seems to be a bunch of us) check this place out!

Best Pizza on Eat Street!. The tastiest, best proportioned pizza in south Minneapolis. Dough can be a bit fresh in the mornings, try post midnight for superbly crunchy slices. Simple cheese is amazing! Service for sit in is on the spot. If getting lasagna delivered expect 45+ min. wait, but it's well worth it.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!. PLEASE do not believe the other reviews. I did and wasted money and stomach on this TERRIBLE pizza. The guy behind the counter was super nice but the food, oh the food... Just say no!

best in town!!!. The previous user said it so well I can't add much. There's nothing worse than "gentrified" pizza. This is classic NY pizza at it's best.

back off; only real new yorkers apply!. This place has been the ONLY place in Minneapolis that even tries for NYC level pizza. I grew up in Brooklyn, NY and believe me, I know 'za. You can set the standards of the pizza joint by their Sicilian slice and this place gets it right. Forget the other pizza poseurs in the neighborhood!(you know who you are) A Slice of New York's slices are perfect combination of sauce, crust and cheese. Forgeddaboudit!!!
