- Where to Sit:
- The cigarette haze can infringe on your ability to, um, savor the fare, so in summer, escape the smoke by taking your plate outside to one of 10 picnic tables.
Coffee for Delivery! amazing
by m0nkey at Citysearch
Muddy's is the best coffee shop in Minneapolis. They have expanded their food menu (even have great vegetarian options), they take credit cards now, and they even deliver Friday, Saturday and Sunday (9am to 3pm). This place rocks and the staff are way more friendly than they used to be... I love Muddy Waters
- Pros: coffee, food, delivery, ambience, open late, free wifi
- Cons: none!
Malted Mocha-Cool Decor
by JenniferIrene at Citysearch
Come for the malted mocha. Stay to look around at the mosaic glass wall. Coffee Cups are cut in half and stick out of the wall. Very dog friendly. They have some vintage games to play. Free Wi-Fi. Outdoor wooden picnic table benches. Bathroom is covered in graffiti- there is not a single white spot left. I came here to watch the Oscars and sip on coffee. It?s never packed. Staff is friendly.
Good brew, good people.

Ive always liked muddy waters. The service isn't always the greatest (they have 1 person staffing the whole place) The crowd is real nice. Ive only been "judged" once there, which is amazing compared to any other coffee place Ive been before. I'm not a straight shot, but nor a green hippie. The people there are very accommodating. If your looking for the nest starbucks, dont like dogs or people, or dont like the "underground" feel to a coffee house, this isnt for you. But if you like atmosphere, good people, and good food, its the place to go.
- Pros: Good brew, Accommodating, Atmosphere
- Cons: , Dogs (sometimes)
great coffee / crappy service
by cyril at Citysearch
Great coffee but the majority of the servers are clickier then a junior high school lunch room and psychotic to boot.
Good for a coffee to go but don't hang out unless you're tragically hip.
No regulars.
- Pros: good coffee, Bobs java close by, no waiting, ever
- Cons: parking, psycho servers
mmmm, blue velvet

outstanding coffee
honestly
having become a coffee freak about
10 years ago, i nursed myself (from the
occasional small cup to four to five large
cups a day) in the uptown area and
felt (and still feel) muddy waters is
the cream of the crop
now slightly farther away but still in
a coffee rich area (read: dinkytown)
muddy waters i continually crave
the comment about pouring instead of
pumping is right on, there must be some
magic there
can be intimidating to the beginner
but please, go through the door
get a hot cuppa blue velvet
the coffee-lobe of your brain
will love you for it
- Pros: best cup, hands down
- Cons: parking can be tricky
