Editorial Review for The Leaning Tower of Pizza – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
Unassuming two-room bar and restaurant serving thin-crust pizza and pasta in a prime location on Lyndale Avenue. Cheap pitchers of beer, curbside dining and arctic air conditioning make the Tower a popular meeting spot for Wedge neighbors, especially during summer months. The menu includes pasta and sandwiches, but people come for the 'za. Potter Pizza is the specialty--it includes your pizza standards (sausage, pepperoni, onions, mushrooms, green peppers and olives) plus, for some reason, celery.

The restaurant gets packed but no one can be found eating. Mostly 20 something’s getting loud and drinking nasty beer. The service is not friendly, you can hardly see a smile. The pizza is worse than the grocery store brand frozen pizza. The crust is like what you would find on a Pop Tart. There is hardly any sauce at all. There is only one vegetarian pizza and it is the standard veggie pizza you can find anywhere. Kid friendly. Lots of flat screen T.V.’s. JukeBox is more than likely to eat your money and NEVER play your song. My advice- go for happy hour- 2 for 1 specials are available- and only order the garlic cheesy bread appetizer, because that is the only thing worth eating. They have a parking lot across the street. Outside sidewalk seating is available and a place squared off for smoking.

Pros: Parking, Kid Friendly, Happy Hour, Outside Seating, Outside Smoking Area

Cons: Food is nasty, Service is rude, Not that Great of a Beer Selection on Tap

The pizza was nothing to write home about--it barely had any sauce and the vegetarian was an expensive disappointment. Also, they limit refills on pop--who does that?
