Editorial Review for Ted Cook's 19th Hole Bar-B-Que – by Donna Tabbert Long
In Short
Smoky aromas and a faded red awning mark this neighborhood institution, located just off Highway 55. Inside, bare bones decor consists of a couple of chairs and several wall plaques heralding its awards for best barbecue in the city. The pork, chicken and beef are smoked over hickory, maple and oak hardwoods, then served in sandwiches or as part of a platter with a side of skin-on potatoes or coleslaw.

The sauce is great and very original. The beef was a very good cut and hardly any fat. Nice friendly service. Take-out only.
Pros: Friendly service.
Cons: No seating

As you can see from all of the other reviews, Ted Cooks has the BEST BBQ in the Twin Cities. The hot sauce is my favorite, and it is actually quite hot! The sides are good, the service is good, considering there's usually just one cashier handling everyone. Go get some tonight, you will not be disappointed!
Pros: Great food!
Cons: Hole in the wall location, parking, no sit down area.
