please stop saying you have anything to do with Chicago. OK I'm from Chicago and this placedoes not have anything like a real chicago beef or anything else. All I can say for this place is they should go to Chicago and try the food before opening a place in Minnesota. Sad day for me I thought I was getting a taste of home and it was more like Arby's.

Citysearch Editorial Review. If your knowledge of Chicago is limited to 'The Blues Brothers' and Mike Ditka jokes, this joint is ready to give you a hardcore culinary primer on the Windy City. Don’t come looking for stuffed pizza or the latest Top Chef showboat--owners Chris and Rob Dubnecay are all about low-brow delicacies: Italian beef sandwiches, Polish sausages and painstakingly authentic Chicago-style hot dogs. For the uninitiated, a proper Chicago dog features a Vienna Beef frank topped with mustard, onions, tomatoes, neon green relish, a pickle spear and the ever-elusive “sport peppers.” That’s definitely what Chris and Rob do best, though you can dabble in worthy diversions like gyros and burgers if you’re so inclined. Minnesota-friendly appetizers include cheese curds and tater tots.

far cry from chicago style. I'm from Chicago so I was excited to try their Italian beef. If this is the closest thing MN's got to Chicago style food, I think I'll make the 6 hour trip home next time I get a craving. The beef was flavorless and dry- nothing like the seasoned juicy beef they serve in Chicago. My friend liked his chili dog and while Vienna beef dogs are worth the trip, its pretty hard to mess up a hot dog. Besides you can just order Vienna beef dogs online. The italian sausage was also pretty plain. The fries were decent but nothing to get excited about. Although, I never have high expectations for anyone claiming to have "authentic" Chicago style food, I thought this place would be different since they get so many of their ingredients from Chicago. In the end, I was quite disappointed.

Fabulous!. The Italian Sausage with mozerella and marinara is awesome. This is a perfect place for a quick weekend lunch with the family.

generous with the toppings!. I've ordered pizza from Chris and Robs a few times and I've never been disappointed. They pile on the toppings. Friendly service, great food, you can't go wrong with this place.

Chris and robs is the bomb come on, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!. As many neighbors in the neighborhood may know I'm in this place all the time! Just don't forget to get your work out on for those days that you eat at Chris and Robs! Everything is good and the service (JOHN) is the bomb. MY favorites include: jalapeno poppers, combo (roast beef and a sausage link on the bottom) and last but not least my new fav the BRAUT with everything on it! yummmmmmm

WHATS UP WITH A FREQUENT DINER PROGRAM????

Loved it!. We went to Chris and Rob's based on the CitySearch ratings. They definitely live up to the the 5 starts. Sure, the food isn't the healthiest, but after all, you are going to a Chicago styled cafe. The onion rings were amazing and the authentic Chicago style chili dog and the Italian beef....WOW!

The south Mpls location is bright and clean. There was large area to sit with a large screen TV and tons of memorabilia. They also have a location in Fridley.

We will 100% go back, take friends and family there and recommend Chris and Rob's to anyone.

Best Chicago food we have found. Being Chicago transplants we have searched high and low for the foods we crave and Chris and Rob's is the best we have found. We have a newer place south of the river, but the service is awful so we still make the trek to Chris and Rob's when the cravings are stronger than we can manage. Good food and good prices.

Very Unhealthy, but Very Delicious. Last Saturday, I few friends of mine wanted to know where to eat. I said you want a really unhealthy place to eat so we went to Joey D's. I'm not a big hot dog fan so I can't offer a lot for reviews there. But the Italian Beefs are very good especially with Cheese. They have very nicely seasoned fries. My friend loved his Meatball sandwich with a very chunky sauce. When I have gone here with people on other occasions they all really like it. The menu isn't for the pious though. But overall, I recommend.

Best dogs in town!. Two dogs with everything and a coke. Best lunch in the Twin Cities! What else can I say, hmmmm, oh yeah--don't put ketchup on a Chicago-style dog. Seriously, if I see you put that bottle anywhere close to that dog, I will be forced to knock that red devil right outta your hand.
