Tips for Soderberg's Florist

Do not use this company if you are expecting to get attention to detail service from a company that actually cares about you, not just your order.

I had placed two orders with them to be delivered 3 days apart, and their level of care about the orders diminished quickly once they had the money for the orders. On the first order whilst the flowers and gift were excellent they misspelled "special" on the gift card and their reason was the spell checker did not pick it up... This is a minor and easy to fix issue however when my fiancée' contacted them to inform them of the problem, and hopefully get a corrected gift card, the real lack of caring and service began to show with this company, not to mention the lack of attention to detail.

The lady from the store didn't listen to what my fiancée' was telling her; she was told several times it was a birthday order for her daughter. The lady read out the card details for the Valentine's Day order that had not been delivered so there was no way my fiancée' could be ringing up for a misspelling on the card for an order that has not been delivered yet... the lady's reasoning is they are very busy and she was just trying to work out which order it was... I'm sorry but I could place that situation in front of almost anyone and when there are delivery dates on the orders how hard can it be to realize which order it would be? Unfortunately this didn't stop her from blurting out the Valentine's Day card message and ruining the surprise I had for my fiancée' who was quick enough to take the phone away from her ear so that the entire order details weren't divulged to her. She didn't know she would be receiving the flowers, and because of this woman's failure to listen, my fiancée' now knows to expect what should have been a total surprise.

It took me 4 phone calls to actually be able to speak to the manager to complain about their lack of caring and attention to detail... I was meant to have been called back and again the excuse given was it's a very busy time of the year... Maybe it is, but clearly they don't care about your individual order. If you're looking for the personal touch and attention to detail or caring about you and your order then go someplace else as this company doesn't care. Clearly they have too many customers for what they can handle as they are just too busy to spell words correctly or think before they speak. The manager has a very lax attitude towards attention to detail and caring about your order; she lacks common sense and the ability to listen and process the information given to her to resolve an issue without reading out everything that she sees in front of her. Yes that's right - we both spoke to the same person and were unimpressed with her attitude and ability to process information. After finally getting to speak to the manager and explaining why I was unimpressed with what occurred... it was like pulling teeth. Whilst she did apologize, the apology felt very lacking in sincerity... 'I said I'm sorry what more can I do?' I mean really? is that even an apology??? She eventually promised to make my fiancée’s order extra special (I'll wait and see if they can show they care with their product as the first set of flowers were lovely but their personal service is very lacking as is their ability to read and comprehend).

POOR SERVICE. My fiance had flowers delivered to me at my office. I noticed that half of the flowers in the bouquet were dying (multiple coworkers had also commented on the fact they were dying). I had called Soderbergs explaining the state of the flowers. The receptionist put the manager on the phone after I explained I would not be in the office tomorrow if they delivered a new bouquet. The manger Kym got on the phone and said she does not believe that my flowers are dying as they got fresh flowers in their store this morning. She also demanded that I send a photo to her email to prove they were dying. I was shocked that she would questions a customer and act so rude about it. I would not do business with this company in the future as the experience ruined a sweet gesture from my fiance.
