Every member of the staff at this disarmingly scruffy neighborhood cafe--including the real-life sisters who own the place--is likely to greet you with a hearty “hello!” within two seconds of your entry, followed by the kind of amiable service typically associated with mom-and-pop lunch counters of decades past. The espresso drinks are well-calculated, and the regular brewed java rivals the high-end stuff you might pay more for over in Linden Hills. Eavesdrop on the ample over-the-counter conversations for a free, entertaining glimpse into the neighborhood’s varied characters.

Best Neighborhood Coffee Shop with lots of personality!. I have been going to Sister Sludge since they opened about 11 years or so. They have by far, the best service and mochas that I have come across. My favorite is the white mocha. The Sisters' all are beautiful people inside and out who are trusting, welcoming, and very friendly. The teens and adults they hire have all incredible personalities that come out when you are there. Oh...and they ALWAYS know your name and remember your drink. They even get Christmas cards from their customers!

Great Mochas. Their Mochas are awesome. Leather couches for seating. Not too far from Lake Nokomis and Minnehaha Parkway. Staff is very friendly. Dog friendly, you have to check out their bulletin with all the cute dog pictures. I believe they also sell coffee at the State Fair. The owner?s are triplets and are fun to talk to. They also have a location in downtown Mpls. in the SkyWay as well.

Amazing coffee. By far, this is my favorite coffee shop in the Twin Cities. It is not close to where I live at all, but I will make it a point to drive out of my way to get coffee there. I think they make the best turtle mocha in the Twin Cities!

Very Cute and Comfortable. Sister Sludge has a comfortable and friendly feel to it as soon as you walk in the door. I met one of the sisters and she is extremely kind and outgoing with the customers as well as to her employees. It is also a non-smoking establishment, which is part of why I enjoy having coffee here. The only thing I would recommend is staying open later at night.

The Sisters are like Family. Sister Sludge is a unique place to go for my morning coffee - owned & operated by 4 blood sisters, there is a unique feeling of being part of a family. Service is good and there is the usual banter of most families. I feel like family when I am there.
