Local pizza chain continues to bring in droves of families and friends with gourmet pies and pastas.. In Short
From sports fans whooping it up at the bar to kids playing at tables and high booths, Green Mill is a rambunctious scene. The decor is surprisingly nice, given the family-friendly vibe: mahogany wood paneling, decorative glass dividers, brick walls and artsy glass light sconces. Most everyone comes for the pizza, whether it's deep-dish, stuffed or on a cracker-thin seasoned crust. Other dishes include seafood pastas and hot Italian subs.

pretty good. Great pizza. Cheese tasted fresh as opposed to the rubbery stuff served by pizza chains. Large variety of toppings. Ambiance was a little too "Applebee's-like" for me, but the food was great. I would definitely return if I am ever in the twin cities again.

Chicago is only 7 hours away.... I have one beef with Green Mill: they make a big deal about having authentic Chicago-style pizza when they can't even get the order of ingredients right. There are people who like to claim you can't make NY-style pizza without dough made with water from Long Island Sound, or Chicago-style pizza without the seasoned pans from decades of pizzas. Those things are a matter of taste (more aptly, pretense). But it is NOT a matter of taste that Green Mill does not make Chicago-style pizza. By definition, Chicago-style pizza is one with a deep, hand formed crust, followed by mozzarella, and topped off with crushed tomatoes. Green Mill thinks Chicago-style pizza = deep dish. That is simply untrue. If the top of your pizza is anything other than red, you do NOT have Chicago-style pizza. Please go to Chicago, order pizza from Gino's East/Lou Malnati's, and bring a note pad.

overpriced for what you get!. it always interests me that people gush about how great the green mill is. the pizza is at best average, and not remotely authentic. i am originally from NY and if a place like green mill were to open there, it would not last long. the prices for pizza are much too high for what you get!

their wings are probably the only thing i have ever ordered from them that i enjoyed. overall, there are other, better minnesota based pizza joints that you should spend you money on!

The best pizza !. Great food

I love the Uptown location

This is the best of 5 Green Mills I have tried.

Service is freindly and fast.

Prices are rather high, but worth it for a special treat.

Green Mill -- YUMM YUMM. I used to live in Minneapolis and have always loved Green Mill. I still measure the quality of any deep dish pizza against Green Mill.

Mundog69. Green Mill is the best in the Twin Cities and the best pizza I have eaten. I have lived in 40 of the 48 states and been to the "best" pizzerias in Chicago, New York City, etc. Green Mill beats them all, hands down. You must like Chicago-style pizza or this will not be your cup of tea.

Late night happy hour rocks!. They have the best late night happy hour with appetizers for $1.69. Wouldn't go anywhere else for late night cravings.

awesome!!!. Great and creative selection. If you just want a boring sausage pizza, go elsewhere. This place rocks with its unique pies.

Not too shabby. The Garlic Roasted Potato pizza is one of my all time favorite foods, and that's why I keep coming back. This Green Mill seems a bit cozier than others, mostly due to it's smaller size. The service is always great, and the pizza just plain rocks. My only complaint is that there are hardly any dishes that are already vegetarian (just ask and they'll whip it up how you like it).
