Since 1964, when the first Arby's opened in Ohio, its roast beef sandwiches have been a popular hamburger alternative. The chain's signature red-and-tan color scheme and cowboy hat signage make it easy to spot. The menu features several variations on the classic Arby's sandwich--thin-sliced beef topped with barbecue sauce, cheese sauce or other toppings--as well as jalapeno poppers and assorted milk shakes, including the signature Jamocha flavor.
Fast Food, Served Nearly Cold, Cooked In The Past 30 Minutes Or Less ! – Arby is my favorite fast food chain due to their menu and variety. It's adult fast food and a departure from the usual burger and fries routine. This location used to be excellent, but recently I've noticed that any time I order anything cooked in the fryer (cordon bleu sandwich, curly fries, etc), it's ready immediately and nearly cold. Why ? Watch next time you order potato bites or curly fries, and they'll see them either waiting on top of the fryer or taken from a "holding drawer" having been cooked in advance. I watched one afternoon as curly fries sat on top of the fryer for nearly 25 minutes before being sold. The last curly bites I ordered had been kept in the holding tray and fell apart when picked up. I guess they are doing this provide faster service, but they are really trashing their quality which is sad. I reported it to the company and they said you have to specially request that the food be cooked at time of order or you risk getting food from the dreaded "holding drawers". When I see a problem at a favorite restaurant I try to help them fix it. It looks like speed is going to be the rule at Arby's rather than quality. I mentioned that McDonalds and Wendys always manage to cook it and serve it, why can't Arbys ? Perhaps a desire to reduce staff.? But considering they are the most expensive fast food chain, where's the money going ? Maybe it's an Uptown thing. People want their food fast but don't care what it's like. I can only speculate. I've noticed slack quality at other fast food and chain delivery restaurants in Uptown. Maybe they know they are going to be swamped with business no matter what they do, so quality is no longer a concern. .
