Delightful shop. I am always impressed to find shelves replete with fabulous eye candy, and consistently pleasant staff.
Wow this staff is unpleasant. I stopped in this store with my elderly mother and a few friends. My mother sat on the edge of one of the chairs to rest and browse from a seated position while the rest of the group continued to shop. The staff almost immediately approached my mom and in a vicious tone told her the store wasn't a lounge and she shouldn't be there unless she was planning on buying something. He continued to be exceptionally rude the entire time we were there. Who tries to kick an old woman out of their store for sitting down?? For shame Go Home Furnishings, for shame.
Unique, stylish and perfect for the Minneapolis home. I had been looking for furnishing for a new home addition that was comfortable and the right size. I fell in love with the unique furnishings at Go Home. The staff helped me find the right combination of sofa, chairs, tables and light fixtures. The fabric and color combinations are perfect for the sun room and I can't wait to watch Spring arrive in my new silly sofa and corkscrew chair. I now have a dining room chandelier that has a matching lamp in the sun room bringing it all together.
"Go Home" is great shopping experience - JLHill. I really like this store. They have a lot of fun things that you won't find any where else. They have all kinds of different gift items. I have bought gifts for family and friends from GO HOME and they have all loved them and asked me where I'd found these fun things. They have some great pieces of furniture, fun lighting fixtures and wall hangings. It's an all around fun shopping experience. The people are great and a pleasure to talk to.
Love Go Home.
Go Home has the cutest furniture, nick-knacks, cards, trinkets. Basically anything in the store in interesting and unique. I adore the furniture the most though. I know of many people who have received gifts from this store or who have directly purchased items for themselves and each one of them love every item the own.
The service has always been wonderful for me and anyone I have talked to. They are helpful and can piece items together if you're furnishing a room or just browsing. I never feel pressured to buy when I am looking and I'm always wished a warm hello and goodbye upon entering and leaving the store.
Uptown is a wonderful "up and happening" neighborhood and Go Home fits in wonderfully. I'll continue to shop here for a long time!
Puts the stic in fantstic. The good man that looks like Daniel Craig makes me feel good when he makes the cougars smile.
GOING TO GO HOME IS A GREAT EXPERIENCE.
This store is great. I have always had the MOST PLEASANT dealings with everyone that works there. I think some of the other reviewers are exaggerating or have some other kind of grudge to bear which I can't understand because I have been going there for years and everyone is always friendly.
The merchandise is great---furniture, accessories, cards and it is always fun to go in and see what is new because the owner does a great job of updating the stock with new trend merchandise from the gift shows. Go to go Home!! You'll be glad you did.
Tell Go Home to "go home".
I went into Go Home today to look at furniture. I found a rather clever piece but wanted to get my wife's opinion on it. I was starting to send her a photo from my PDA when the man working the store started YELLING at me, berating me for taking a picture without his permission. My bad - I probably should have asked, but at a minimum he should have tried being a little nicer ("Please ask the staff before taking any pictures", or something like that).
I told him he should be more polite with customers, and he told me to "Get the he!! out of my store and don't come back." I've got no problems with that. I'll certainly never shop there again, and I recommend you not either. Uptown deserves better.
Beautiful furniture, amusing knick knacks. This store always has some wonderful small fun items if you're looking for a quick gift or card. But it also has some very beautiful and unique furniture and lighting. I've always appreciated how the staff is friendly and informative about their stock, but not in a pushy way.
WORST store experience EVER.. I went into Go Home with the intention of buying a little trinket or something. I wanted my friend to see the store, too. Anyway, the store has great gifts and other fun items, and I think they're mostly known for their cool furniture, but TODAY, there was a VERY bad man working. He yelled at me and my friend for no good reason, and she STILL bought something from the store. After that, I called the number to the store and politely asked the man if there was an online survey I could take to comment on customer service, and he hung up on me. I called back and said, "maybe you didn't hear me the first time- I was wondering if you had a survey I could take online.." to which, he said: "Don't ask me a stupid question like that, never call back here again". He proceeded to call my number and hang up again, and his excuse for doing so when I called back to ask why he did that was so he could track my number. I did NOTHING to this person. If he doesn't want people in his store, he shouldn't open it in the morning. I'm telling all my friends to never go in there. I don't deserve that service from him.
