What People Are Saying About Go Home Furnishings

In Short – Folks looking to bring a little whimsy into their homes should make a beeline for this funky store. The narrow space is filled with fun household accessories and over-the-top light fixtures that give new meaning to the phrase "mood lighting." It's the little things that make a house a home, and you'll find plenty of those: fun soaps, wall clocks, centerpiece-quality bottle openers. Go Home's greeting card rack isn't huge, but its offerings are funny, offbeat and beautiful.
GOING TO GO HOME IS A GREAT EXPERIENCE
by guswoman
This store is great. I have always had the MOST PLEASANT dealings with everyone that works there. I think some of the other reviewers are exaggerating or have some other kind of grudge to bear which I can't understand because I have been going there for years and everyone is always friendly.
The merchandise is great---furniture, accessories, cards and it is always fun to go in and see what is new because the owner does a great job of updating the stock with new trend merchandise from the gift shows. Go to go Home!! You'll be glad you did.
- Pros: Unique things you can't find anywhere else
- Cons: None
Tell Go Home to "go home"
by mello9697
I went into Go Home today to look at furniture. I found a rather clever piece but wanted to get my wife's opinion on it. I was starting to send her a photo from my PDA when the man working the store started YELLING at me, berating me for taking a picture without his permission. My bad - I probably should have asked, but at a minimum he should have tried being a little nicer ("Please ask the staff before taking any pictures", or something like that).
I told him he should be more polite with customers, and he told me to "Get the he!! out of my store and don't come back." I've got no problems with that. I'll certainly never shop there again, and I recommend you not either. Uptown deserves better.
- Pros: Nice products
- Cons: WORST customer service
Beautiful furniture, amusing knick knacks
by iolayola
This store always has some wonderful small fun items if you're looking for a quick gift or card. But it also has some very beautiful and unique furniture and lighting. I've always appreciated how the staff is friendly and informative about their stock, but not in a pushy way.
