The Twin Cities' first Thai restaurant...and one of the best..
In Short
The Thai restaurant scene has fairly exploded in recent years, yet this chain remains at the top of any local's list. The menu is divided among chicken, seafood and beef dishes, with a few duck offerings and a nice list of noodle and curry stir-fries. Adventurous diners sample signature dishes like roast duck curry or Tail of Two Cities (stir-fried curry of lobster and green beans), while newbies stick with the top-notch pad thai.
average food, expensive place. average food, expensive, definitely not a good thai place to eat...
blah. I love thai food, but Sawatdee was a huge disappointment. The interior is boring....nothing special. The curry was too watery and flavorless. The chicken I ordered was 100% dark meat, which I guess I just wasn't expecting. The drinks are way OVERPRICED! I didn't hate it, but I definately won't go back.
Service Good food not. Our waitress was very nice, food is not all that great. Rice was old and cruchny age unknown, I asked for the hottest (spice) and all the cook did was throw a pile of crushed red pepper on my dinner.
