Laid back and delish.
Very small town feeling. It's exactly what breakfast should be... hashbrowns, eggs, toast, pancakes... meat. Everything is pronounceable and consistent. If my northern-wisco mom showed up while I
was eating a short stack... I wouldn't be shocked. It's that kinda place.
I agree with a past review... though the door says "open at 6:30", this can mean anything from "open, though still waiting for kitchen staff to arrive", to "maybe open around 7". Just don't go there with time constraints.…
Wonderful Breakfast. Our Kitchen was a great find by my wife and I. We lived in the neighborhood, so we decided to try it one day. We defintately waited too long to try this place, because the food is really good. The breakfast is standard and cheap. You can also get lunch if you are in the mood. The staff is also really nice and gives off a family vibe, probably because most of the staff are related(at least it seems that way). Don't be surprised if you show up one day to locked doors. When the staff goes on vacation, the kitchen shuts down. This is probably not the place to talk politics, eventhough Uptown is quite liberal, Our Kitchen had a definate Republican theme during the last election. Thankfully, I have always enjoyed the food.…
Best Breakfast Spot. Hands down, the best basic breakfast spot in the cities. The hashbrowns are to die for. Pankcakes are the the size of your head. Sit at the counter and talk to your neighbors. We have a hard time recommending it because we want to keep it our secret. The diner is very small so may have to wait for a spot but it is very much worth the wait.…
