Fun place, great food. My boyfriend and I ate there on a Wednesday night after hearing the food there was good. It was excellent! He had a burger and I had the pesto giglio; both were wonderful. We shared guacamole dip and chips for an appetizer and that was also good, although the onion was quite strong but we both like onion so it was fine. Our server was adorable. Great beer selection, and prices for food and drinks were reasonable. Our bill came out to be about $40, not bad for an appetizer, two entrees, and four beers. Will definitely go back.

Best beer selection in town. This is one of those spots that's just cool with even trying. Interesting menu items, AUTHENTIC retro-cool styling, and one of the best beer selections in town. And cheap date night is an all out steal - two entrees, a bottle of decent wine and two games of bowling? I can't think of a better way to spend a monday evening. if you're a serious bowler, this place is not for you - the lanes, balls, and shoes all look to be original. And all of this attracts a hip and diverse crowd.

No Service. Went over to Bryant Lake Bowl this morning for breakfast. The restaurant floors were very dirty, the menu had pieces of onion and other food items left on the plastic cover, the coffee was served without a spoon, and the waiter never returned to take our order. We got up, paid for the coffee at the counter, and left. It was easier to go back home and cook our own breakfast.

Josh and Scarlett. Good place, great clientele, fun atmosphere, tastey breakfast. Apparently frequented by local Josh Hartnett. Recently was there with gf Scarlett Johansson.

An evening at an alley...for bowling.... Choice venue for quiet late afternoons, each plate made to order with locally grown produce, charming beer-savvy staff, great music, an armada of the best taps and bottled beer in the city, daily meat and seafood entrees and the best vegetarian (though you wouldn't know it) chili I've ever eaten. A steal with cheap date night set against geometric, uniquely chromatic, 1950's decor and lighting. Breakfast on weekends is bustling, but worth the wait, superb coffee, the best of breakfast burritos and great combinations with their BLB scrambles. Breakfast til early afternoon on Sunday.

If you don't "belong" you're out.. Be very careful of how you look, talk and dress when (if) you go here.

Servers are nasty, rude, slow and condescending. They act as if they are doing YOU a favor, and even your existance is abhorent to them.

Ask for nothing and tip very well, you might be treated only slightly rudely.

Food's good, but nowhere near enough to fill up, and the prices are way too high.

Very smoky. This place is interesting b/c it has a theater, bowling alley, and restaurant all in one. The food here is good, the service is a hit and miss. I avoid eating here only because I smell like a college bar when I leave. The ventilation system can't handle the amount of smoke and it actually ruins my appetite each time. I can stomach bowling there though, which is fun along with great selections of beer.

Torture Chamber Chairs. Despite the smoke, poor layout of tables and wretched food. The chairs made you want to leave immediately.

What's the hubbub?. I cannot possibly conceive why this joint gets all the acclaim. On what could be called one of the worst dates I've ever been on, we waited 45 minutes at our table after our "server" told us he'd be "right back" before we left. It's loud, crowded, the tables are way too small, and the food isn't worth what they ask. Sorry, Bryant-Lake Bowl... I'm not coming back.

Locals abound (hopefully). The beer selection is top-notch, and the food is phenominal. You can bowl (if lucky enough to get a lane) or see bands and theater. What more can anyone ask for?

The bartenders and waitstaff are professional and friendly (and really know their beer). A disconcerting trend of suburban teenagers attending has begun, but it is usually not completely disruptive. No liquor, however.
