What People Are Saying About Kinhdo Restaurant

In Short – Kinhdo has been in Uptown for decades, witnessing the neighborhood's transformation from punk haven to style central. The brown sauce-and-onions menu has evolved into a broad selection of Vietnamese, Chinese and Thai dishes, served in a sleek mahogany and forest-green setting that looks more like a British pub. Examples include Chinese basics like chow mein and lo-mein, plus fresh spring rolls and sweet, tangy pad thai. There's also a "white-meat only" selection of chicken entrees.
Amazing

I wish reviewers would get their restaurants correct. We're talking about KinhDo and not TanhDo. There's another restaurant named ThanhDo that I've been to once and that was one too many IMO!
As my headline eludes to KinhDo is amazing. I love their Pad Thai, and their Egg Rolls are a must. My wife and I used to dine there several times a month until we moved out of the neighborhood. It's a long drive for us now - Rochester - but, it's well worth it. Writing this review is starting up my cravings. I guess we'll be going there tomorrow!
- Pros: Friendly wait staff and great food
- Cons: Too far away
pretty bad

My boyfriend and I used to LOVE TanhDo. Over time the quality really went down hill. The food often looks like it has been sitting out all day and if you order take out-check it before you leave because they tend to give you only half an order and pick out all the good stuff. I have to agree with hry85 about the sauce. It is totally ketchup,soy/oyster sauce and water! eeew. On a recent visit our server added a 20% gratuity to our table of two without telling us. I feel like this was totally a sneaky attempt at getting a double tip. That is SO wrong. So watch out, if you do go here add up your bill before you pay!!! Overall though I say it's not even worth your money.
- Pros: convenient location
- Cons: sneaky servers
They're lucky they're on Hennipen...

Service was so-so, egg rolls okay but not worth the price. I ordered sweet & sour chicken and was unpleasantly surprised to find the sauce tasted like watery ketchup. Chicken pieces were also too doughy. My girlfriend ordered a shrimp and cashew dish and was quite ill the next day.
- Pros: ok egg rolls, unappetizing entrees
- Cons: What are the drawbacks?
