Best Asian in Minnesota. Kinh Do has been my favorite asian restaurant since I was 6 years old. I grew up eating the sauteed beef with potatos. If you have kids, they will probably love it...just remember to hold the onions. That is still my favorite dish to get their. They really do have the best egg rolls I've ever tasted and I love their fish sauce...I've tried to make it at home but I never get it just right. The egg rolls over rice noodle is also fabulous and priced under $7. Kinh Do has a huge menu to suit everyone's needs from the young to the old to vegetarian. The price is right, I'm always seated promptly and treated courteously.
This Uptown fixture keeps up with the times with a huge menu that ranges from traditional to trendy..
In Short
Kinhdo has been in Uptown for decades, witnessing the neighborhood's transformation from punk haven to style central. The brown sauce-and-onions menu has evolved into a broad selection of Vietnamese, Chinese and Thai dishes, served in a sleek mahogany and forest-green setting that looks more like a British pub. Examples include Chinese basics like chow mein and lo-mein, plus fresh spring rolls and sweet, tangy pad thai. There's also a "white-meat only" selection of chicken entrees.
Fresh ingredients and bountiful flavors. My wife & I both love Kinhdo, because everything we get there always taste fresh. Unlike other asian restaurants (strip mall variety) Kinhdo uses fresh vegetables and higher quality meat. The lemon grass beef is a personal favorite, because it has such a great aroma and flavor and the Pad Thai is some of the best in the TwinCities. We only get take out so I cant tell you what the service is like in the restaurant.
Great Food. This has been a favorite for as many years as they have been in business. The food is excellent and there is something for everyone. I take out-of-town vistors here as a matter of course, and they beg to go back. The servers are not always the most prompt, but it fits the style of this wonderful laid back place. Asian food is not fast food after all. The egg rolls, the rice noodle salads, beef and potatoes, vegetarian egg fu yung are all highly recommended. The waitstaff are friendly and delightful. It doesn't get better than this.
BEST egg rolls!. My favorite egg roll in the Twin Cities! Everything else is good and fresh but just above average. Need more rice noodle dishes. Did I write how much I love the imperial egg rolls here??
Yummy Vietnamese/Asian. My brother and I were looking for a good inexpensive place to chow down and I took him to Kinhdo. We loved our waitress, who was speedy and adorable as well as efficient. Our Spring Roll appetizer was excellent (as always). And we had one pork and one shrimp entree, both of which were outstanding. I've always had good food and service at this location and my brother thought it was one of the best places he'd eaten (visiting from Philadelphia).
Rockin Pho. I have to say now living in Los Angeles, I have access to what should be some of the finest Vietnamese restaurants there are in the US. However I always return back to MN to Kinh-Do, my favorite PHO and those cream cheese wontons, Lordy have mercy! Check it out, you can't go wrong, and the price is right :) Mystie
bestest egg rolls.
I think that the egg rolls rock, and i love the lomein. I enjoy all the food that i have tried and i frequent the place. the atmosphere is cute and it is quiet usually.
i love it !!!
jb. I went to kinhdo for the first time today, and I fell in love!!! The food is amazing! I was amazed at all the choices that they had to offer. I had the pad thai and it was absolutely wonderful. My husband had the string bean dish with chicken which was recommended by the waitress. I love the atmosphere. Even though it was our first time, the staff made us feel like we were regulars! I'll recommed this place to anyone!
oooh sooo good. I've been here several times this month and every time the food gets better and better. My favorites here are the Pad Thai (best in town) and the Beef with Potatoes. I also like their bubble teas too - mango to be precise. The service wasn't bad either for I had a couple of waiters served me. I'd recommend it to anyone that loves Asian food.
