Editorial Review for CC Club – by Christopher Bahn
In Short
While other nearby bars are more popular with visitors, Uptown-Wedge residents are more inclined to visit Lyle's and CC Club, a pair of slightly rundown gin joints that are always smoky and crowded. CC's interior reminds you of a Northwoods cabin with beer signs, dartboards, pool tables and scarcely a table without a pitcher of beer atop it. A killer jukebox is strong on Minnesota bands like Husker Du and Soul Asylum.

Insider Tips
What to DrinkThe bloody marys make hangover breakfasts just right--get the spicy one, with a celery-salted rim.
The ExtrasCC's reputation as a rock musicians' hangout started with the Replacements, the critically acclaimed post-punkers who knew the guitar neck and the bottleneck equally well.

Great vibe. Really felt at home there. I loved the fact that it was right around the corner. I loved the Jukebox, the Bloody Mary's, and most of all, the Eight Ball Deluxe pinball machine that sat right up front. "Stop talking and start chalking."

I love the CC, and I've been going there for years. After reading the reviews here, I had to comment, because it seems like people are being unfair. The CC is a busy place, and if you are going there on a Sat. night, it's going to be PACKED, so go early, or don't complain about having to wait for a table. Also, if you are on the back porch come 1am, it's the law that you have to bring your drink inside. At 1, not whenever you finish smoking, so don't get surly with the harrased people working the porch when they ask you to take your drink inside, or get it dumped out because you refuse.
Pros: Great people, great food, good prices, awesome bar
Cons: parking lot fills up fast, as do the tables.
