I had a great experience at Lee's in March of 2008. I needed a heel tip replacement, and Lee offered to do it while I waited. Very happy with the experience - definitely exceeded my expectations.
Pros: Locally owned
Cons: construction on Lake st.

I brought in a pair of boots I've had for years and are an essential part of my wardrobe. I could barely bring myself to part with them for a week, much less a month I was quoted at nearby shops. I was very apprehensive after reading the reviews on this site, but I thought I would give it a try. The cute older man behind the counter assured me he could fix my severely damaged heels and do it within a week. When I went to pick them up he delivered the shoes with a smile – and they looked fabulous. He even shined them up to give them a brand new sheen. It was quite reasonable pricing considering the alternative would have been going and buying a new pair ranging from $100-$200. This is now my shoe shop of choice.
Pros: Parking, on bus line, quick-turn arounds
