Better Places Out There. I've been to Anodyne many times, the service is not great, and the latte's aren't worth getting. Today I went there and ordered a veggie burger, it was delivered w/out being cooked all of the way through. It was mush. I brought it to the counter, without a word they replaced it.…
GREAT PLACE FOR EXCELLENT OATMEAL. A REAL LAID BACK ATMOSPHERE.. oatmeal anodyne is super tasting along with a nice big cup of latte...the only thing wrong I couldn't get my wf-ii to work there? Phillip
Most unfriendly staff. I've been going to Anodyne for 3 years. It's been convenient since I live nearby and I'd rather support a local coffeeshop vs. a Starbucks. The only problem is that the staff is so rude! I've thought of not going many times but it was just so darn convenient. I recently went to Common Roots and found a similar atmosphere, great food, nice outdoor seating, alcohol (even!), wireless AND they actually employ people who smile once in awhile. I'm thrilled to move my morning breakfasts to a place that gives off a positive vibe.…
A cozy place to relax. Anodyne actually means a source of soothing comfort. That is what I thought when I went to this coffee shop/restaurant. I had a curried turkey sandwich, served with homemade kettle chips, which tasted marvelous-very original, flavorful and healthy. I got the idea that all the things they make and serve are organic, but this may be wrong. I like to sit outside at the patio tables that have window boxes full of plants and people with their dogs by their side. The coffee was also great. I had an iced coffee that was made with half and half instead of milk which I'm used to, so it was obviously a treat! I would go back again and again with my mom, a friend or my boy-friend. This place is vegetarian and vegan friendly :o)…
Charming Coffee Shop with amazing food. Anodyne is an amazing mini restaurant disguised as a coffee shop. There isn't always room to sit because the Sunday breakfast is so fantastic. I've had grilled cheese sandwich that was fantastic, made with their waffle Iron, and scrambled eggs made with their espresso milk frother. Both fantastic! Eco-conscious but not preachy. This place is one of Minneapolis' best kept secrets, I think.…
