Why is everything 'Ala Carte' ?!. Careful, an extra napkin may cost you dearly.

Do Scandanavians really get a 15% discount here !?

Well just assume it to be my gracious tip.

I'm coming back soon with my immigration papers.

Why is it when I ask for a fish sandwich, it always comes out

raw in the middle ?!

Old Time Family Favorite. This has been a family favorite for over 30 years. We drive from the northern suburbs for lunch or dinner several times a year. Yes, it it filled with many elderly people, but that is because they know good comfort food. Not unlike a diner, you can get a wide variety of food, there is something for everyone, and it is all quite tasty and homemade. The servers have all been there for years, know the regulars by name, and often go the extra mile for customers. Once I ordered a dish and the server gently suggested that I might be happier with something else, and then confidentially whispered -" it just isn't as good as usual today". Comfortable for all ages. I think my only complaint is the parking, they just need more of it but in that neighborhood it is at a premium and it isn't going to happen. Actually we are going there tonight!

A great place to eat on a cold day!. Service: The servers at this establishment are downright charming! They are very attentive and give great recommendations regarding the menu. They were also very accomodating to our children, which always scores brownie points with us. For example, my younger child was eating only baby food at that time, and the server was thoughtful enough to bring a small dish of applesauce for her without our asking!

Food: The first time I ordered the stew for lunch, which was quite hearty. The second time I ordered the Swedish meatballs which were HUGE! My husband ordered a chicken sandwich the first time (above average), and the hotdish the second time (above average). I just LOVED the white cake they have - simple and yummy.

Atmosphere: The ambience is quite cozy, and I really liked sitting next to the fireplace during our second visit. That particular dining room had a lodge-like feel, which made me feel like I was eating a dinner after a long day of skiing in Colorado. It's also kind of cute to see a lot of octagenarians out and about on the town.

Home sweet home.. This is a perfect place for a family gathering or a special occasion. The setting is warm, the servers friendly and the food is as if Mom is cooking in the kitchen. The prices are reasonable for the quality. Corn beef on Saint Patrick's, fresh walleye from the northwoods or the special of the day all done with a homemade touch. Fine for those more simple moments, too. A place to come home to.

Family friendly eatery near 50th and France known for its wholesome home cooking.. In Short
For more than two decades this popular Edina restaurant has pleased a faithful clientele of friends and families. The lunch counter with booths is the place for a quick bite, but most folks opt for the two tastefully furnished dining rooms, where wood paneling, soft carpets and subdued lighting encourage conversation. The mainstay is simple foods, simply prepared like roast beef and chicken dishes. The well-rounded kids' menu features spaghetti, fish, baked chicken and pancakes.

Try the Chocolate Pie.... Normally this place is filled with senior citizens, but my friends and I love to frequent Pearson's. The swedish meatballs are delicious, as well as, the Bigburger. The Chocolate Pie is so rich, but it is wonderful! I nice relaxing atmosphere with tasty food.

A Classic Family Tradition. I've been going to Pearson's for almost 30 years now and continue to enjoy the place. It is family friendly (something for you if you are 2 or 92) and comfortable. The two fireplace dining rooms are beautiful and the service impeccable. The menu offers the usual fare of Steaks and Seafood, and some more unusual items such as Swedish Hotdish or Lutefisk (in season). The restaurant continues to be owned and operated by the founders, their children and grandchildren. If you are looking for comfort food, a pleasant ambiance, high service standards and tradition, this is perhaps the best place in town.

Golden Oldie. The average patron of this eatery has the personal mobilty of an oak tree. If Strom Thurmond were wheelchaired in here he would be handed the kid's menu. They have more Buicks in the parking lot than Walser's. Seriously, this is a great place to enjoy good old comfort food in a relaxed atmosphere. My only question is how special can it be when it they have "Today's Special - Baked Chicken" on their outdoor sign on 50th every day for several years.

Nice but Bland. My grandmother thinks this place is the cat's pajamas (as she would say). It's a perfectly nice restaurant with perfectly well prepared BORING food. If you're taking an elderly relative to brunch or dinner this is the place! But be sure to bring a bottle of Tabasco for yourself!

Like Gramma Used to Make. Homey, midwestern comfort. Come for dinner, stay for the apple pie, and bring the kids. The only thing missing is hot dish, but give them time.
