Amazing Italian Food. I love the fresh pasta and sauces to cook at home. I highly recommend the Broder's brand olive oil. Wish I lived closer, but well worth the drive. Staff is super friendly!
Best Variety in Town!. If you've lived in Southwest Minneapolis your whole life and you've never been to Broders Cucina, you're doing yourself a disservice. Simply the best, freshest, and occasionally the most imaginative everyday italian food in the Twin Cities. HIGHLY Recommended!
Fastest yummy Italian food. We visited Broders after it was heartily recommended by one of my colleagues, and we were NOT disappointed. We tried the Pasta Bar first, which was very good! However, with two small children we find the informal atmosphere of Broder's Cucina Italiana fits a lot better with us. My 2 year old son just gobbles up the spaghetti and meatballs - the pasta itself is home-made and amazing, but the meatballs are ok. The dinner portion is just the perfect for the two of us to share. The pizza is really good - they serve a New York style that has a great crispy crust. The multitudes of people who come in and out for a "to-go" pizza speaks for how tasty it is! The tiramisu is also incredible. My husband really likes the cannoli too. However, the Cucina Italiana has limited seating, so as a family you might be stuck at the "bar"-like seating space. We have always been able to find somewhere to sit, though. If you choose to get take-out, the family style dinners for 4 are an incredible deal! I highly recommend this fun little joint!
Good Italian fare for times when you have to dine and dash..
In Short
Everyone from soccer moms to young urbanites crowds in for food that's served fast but isn't fast food. The tiny restaurant does a large takeout business, but a few patrons squeeze into small wooden tables that don't offer much privacy. The simple Mediterranean fare includes salads, sandwiches and pasta. Examples include a Greek salad, the caprese panini (tomatoes, mozzarella and basil) and stromboli. A large dessert case features blood-orange cheesecake and cappuccino brownies.
Broders?. With a name like that you wouldn't expect authentic Italian. Alas, that is what Broders definately serves. The Cucina doubles as a grocery store and a cafe. Good eats
Great for a quick bite.
Don't have the time for Broders' Pasta Bar? Go to the Cucina! The food is a little less glamorous, but just as tasty. Try the super flat pizza or a manicotti (or two). I also like the caprese and their Pane Villaggio (village bread).
It's a deli so don't expect more. You can get entrees, a side dish, bread, cheese, olives, salami, and drinks for two for less than twenty bucks. Not too shabby, especially when you see and taste the feast you just ordered.
The food is good, but the air-conditioner is on full blast. If you go in the summer make sure to bring a layer because it will feel like a meat locker. Also, don't go near closing and expect to eat there, they close up shop pretty fast and you end up feeling rushed.
Decent. The portions are so small for the price. Call ahead you'll thank me later. The desserts are very tasty and the service is very good. But portions could be alittle bigger..
wonderful neighborhood spot. Like the title says, what a wonderful "neighborhoody" spot. Their food is wonderful, the atmosphere is unassuming - great choice!
quick-quality-fun-italion. If Broders Pasta Bar is full and your stomach is just a little empty look around the corner and up the street for a great time and very good food,Fast.
Mama Mia. Wonderful deli...not long on atmosphere..but the best "fast food" Italian
