Bead Monkey ---- Very snobby staff. This particular location isn't as helpful. The employees are rather snobbish. I just learned the peyote stitch and am very excited after sharing this with the rather large blonde man, his reply that his 5 year old knows this stitch. I guess, I am not as smart as a 5 year old. Thanks for the put-down. My second time to this location, I asked for help with a border and the older dark haired woman told me that everyone goes through a peyote stitch and I'll have to figure it out. She was very very unhelpful. If anyone is new to beading and needs support, this is not the place to go.

EXPENSIVE, Ok selection, RUDE STAFF. This bead store has an okay selection with okay, run-of-the-mill variety. They have typical bead store things, but nothing extremely unique. I only go there if I am really strapped to get something. Whenever I ask them to help with a project or their advice, the staff is VERY SNOTTY and rude. I thought maybe they just did not like me, but a lot of my bead friends say the same thing. They like to ignore people. I do not like to give them my business unless I can help it.

Also, their mark-up on their selection is fairly high. Beading wire, a strand of glass, etc... I can buy the same thing at another store for a lot less.

Nice store, nicer staff!. I'm new to the area so have been using this Citysearch site to find some local places. They must have gotten new managers or staff as I thought they were GREAT! The selection of beads, stones, and metals was really impressive. I had a basic project in mind and two different gals helped me to not only find what I needed to finish it- but also suggested a new way to do something I hadn't thought of. They were great, great, great!

Best Bead Store Around-GREAT PEOPLE!! HUGE SELECTION!!. After reading the previous review, I decided to go to the Bead Monkey to check it out. WELL . . . . this is a Saturday, they have a sale going on, but I was offered help by three different sales clerks during the hour I was there!!! They were VERY helpful (I am a new beader!) and gave lots of tips and how-to information so my project could be well-made and useful. The selection of beads and supplies is WONDERFUL with lots of specialty items. The service and friendliness of the staff along with the great selection are reasons that will keep me coming back. LOVE THAT STORE!!!

Nice Large Bead Selection, Arrogant Rude Staff. I recently went to the Bead Monkey looking for ideas to help make a bracelet. I found there selection to be amazing...so many choices. I was very happy with the assortment of choices. I wasn't exactly sure what I was trying to put together so I asked for suggestions from the staff. I found them to be helpful at a minimum but extremely rude and arrogant. Perhaps it's a reflection of where the store is located. Nonetheless, be prepared if you are in need of creative helpful ideas the bead monkey may not be your best place to go. There are plenty of other quality bead shops with staff that enjoy sharing ideas and helping. After I made my purchase at the Bead Monkey I felt uneasy because I really wish that I didn't give them my money and had gone somewhere else where the purchase would have been appreciated.
