Citysearch Editorial Review. Located near McCalester College, this hip and offbeat gift shop offers up all sorts of cute trinkets for her, him and baby, too. The front of the store is home to bendable action figures; books on daily living and spirituality; tchotchkes like Jesus air fresheners and political gag gifts; scented soy candles; vases; and cards galore. Scarves, hats, pillows, housewares, antique items and more can be found in the back of the store, which feels like a vintage Parisian gift shop come to life. This isn’t your grandma’s gift shop, though. Avalon is like a hipper version of Patina where even your comic-book loving boyfriend can find something to love.
