On our way to a Mississippi Rive boat ride this summer, my husband and I stopped at Elsie's for lunch. It was recommended by a clerk in a store. We were so glad we stopped, what a fun family restaurant/bowling alley. The food was wonderful. If you like Reubens, the corned beef was melt in your mouth delicious. Our waitress was professional, and you could tell she loved her job. We may not have stopped without the recommendation, since we were from out of town, but we were sure glad we did. Give it a try!
LOVE the place!.
Ive been here for a few dates already. Easy for doing the dinner, drinks and bowling thing. My great bartender, Danny, always hooks me and my dates up with great service, great drinks and great food!
Guys, I have to say, this place is just the right amount of class for a bowling center. Its hard to bring a date somewhere that's comfortable and easy to transition into the after dinner event with out being awkward. This is the place, great drinks and fun bowling. If i was on the Jersey Shore, it would go DBS. Drinks, Bowling and u figure out what the S stands for!
Impossible to work with. Hugely disappointed with this place. Was trying to throw my husband an old-school little kid style bowling birthday party. E-Mails went unanswered, phone messages never returned (and on subsequent calls, the voicemail box was then full so apparently not listening to/returning messages is a theme!), the guy that answers the phone isn't the one that can help you but no one else ever seems to be there - even when you've been told to call at a specific time to reach them! Way too difficult to try to work with - not worth the time or energy wasted.
The urban equivalent of a supper club up at the cabin..
In Short
This Northeast bowling alley, bar and restaurant has kelly-green vinyl booths, a smoke-filled bar and fondness for breading and deep-frying. You'll find iceberg-lettuce salads, warm miniature bread loaves that moosh down when you slice them, and standard American fare (burgers, steak, fried chicken, and ribs). A menu highlight is the well-seasoned broiled Canadian walleye.
